To clear up the cow thing. You have cows that produce milk. Bulls that are used to inseminate the cows (make calves). Male cows that aren't bulls are called bullecks, these are used for meat, having more bulls just leads to fights which raises the stress levels of the heard which makes the milk sour and the meat tense (tough).
