    As a long time Jeep guy who has battled the Jeep-project blues, to watch a guy struggle and persevere and eventually GET IT, really puts a smile on my face. Keep on keeping on!!

      Thank you so much! I would be lying if I didn't say at times I didn't struggle to find the drive to go out and work on this project, but I'm so grateful I persevered! I still have a mountain of work left to do but it's so much easier to want to go work on it because I drive it, that makes a HUGE difference!

    I've been subbed for a few years and I know first hand about getting a project started that is taking forever. But this gives me hope that my jeep will be done one day.

      @jhinton088 first off thank you for being a long time subscriber of the channel! I've learned two things over the years doing this project, first projects like these just take time, especially if you are doing it by yourself. Second and I just recently realized this, you can't compare how long your project is taking compared to someone else. I see other people get projects that much bigger than mine on here much faster, but I went as fast as I could with the skill set I had. In the end, I still go there and so can you!

    I have a TJ, but this is one of the coolest TJs I’ve ever seen. Your skillset is impressive man… if you come to Colorado, let’s wheel!

      Thank you so much! I plan to come out that way once I get some more things wrapped up and improved. I still really need to get the interior put back together, but I'm itching to do a long road trip with this build!

      Looking forward to seeing more driving videos with that powertrain! Also, maybe a POV from the driver's seat. You monitor a lot, I'd like to see the layout.

      Thank you so much! This project has been the most ambitious thing I've ever attempted and though it's been a long road, well worth the journey to get it up and running.

    sweet. swapping out the wore out OM617 in my TJ to a refreshed one. Also swapping to an Fulltime/Parttime 4wd NP242 trans so in slippery rain/snow I get here.... the torquey diesel does not keep trying to spin me out.

      I have one of those transfer cases, I was actually going to run that until I bought a wrecked TJ Rubicon and now I'm using parts off it for my build, I had the same logic as well, I wanted the Full Time 4WD for bad road conditions!

    Have you ever run without the controller im interested how it would run

    • @RustyAutoholicGuy
      @RustyAutoholicGuy  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately I have not, and with this Valve Body I don't think it would be possible because the CompuShift controls the line pressure which makes the AW4 run extremely well!

    What gear ratio and tire size are you running? Are you happy with the cruising rpms in the 35-55 mph range?

    • @RustyAutoholicGuy
      @RustyAutoholicGuy  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Currently 3.73 gears and 31.8 tires and to answer your question no. I need to do a gear swap and a few other things as well, still researching at the moment.

    I'm happy it's working, denim Dan. lol
    What thermostat are you running? 180F?

    • @RustyAutoholicGuy
      @RustyAutoholicGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey I like denim, can’t get the 80s out of me. It’s at least 180F maybe lower, I need to double check which it is before I put coolant in the system.

      I need to get a few other things fixed first but I will be doing some fuel economy tests soon!
