This is just one of the many games, from The Adventure Company, that I believe my dad got for himself a long time ago. I remember seeing him play this, along with 3 of the Myst games. So I tried this one, and it got me hooked. Unfortunately, thanks to our computers requiring a WiFi connection, I can’t really get this game downloaded like in the older computers. But still, I enjoy seeing these types of walkthroughs. Thank you, my dude, for downloading this!
Similar as you, my dad introduced me to this game and the Myst series. Those were the times! I remember how happy I was every time I solved a puzzle and bragged to him. Oh man... memories.
I played this game back in 2004 back when GameTap was up and running and after GameTap started removing games I lost this game as well. I tried to find it again but all I could remember was going into a room and seeing scissors that were in the wall which is seen 36:35 (It's silly how specific a child's memory can be)! I'd been looking for this game for so long though thank you so much for playing it!
it's a fantastic visual. simple, but it sticks in your mind due to how out-of-place and strange it is. that's the best sort of stuff for an atmospheric horror game, in my opinion!
Oh my gosh your recollection briught that scene back to my mind; I remember playing this in college with a few of non-gamer friends spectating, we all got SO creeped out at this room. Its funny now, but at the moment, in the dark, we all got quiet, and one friend said eerily softly "... shit, what happened here?!" We had to take a break to calm down. ROFL
I loved this game. I was stuck toward the end though and just realized I never found the room behind the two metal panels along the wall 🤦🏻♀️ I was so close!! I just kept going back to the rock with symbols wondering why I couldn’t figure it out.
I used to play this with my mom a bunch.. I miss her.
Did you do anything with your mother aside from play video games?

GameTap was amazing. So much time I spent playing URU Myst online and O.R.B.

There have been so many negative comments about the Dark Fall series. Idk why people hate them so much. I like them a lot.
I have a CD of this game.
