I have this deck in paper. the power level is off the charts. completely wrecks jeskai and very stable against aggro. I play 2 spitfire though. the pluses count up and can be overwhelming. Great deck Dev.
This is what I needed Dev! I have all of this for paper except a couple cards. I was playing Bolas Dragons since i started in core 19 and did well. Hadn't been able to make the shift so went full grixis control with Nicol and Niv and have been doing OK. This was the inspiration in needed to go back to dragons!
Built this on Arena (-1 Chart a Course, +1 Dragon's Hoard) and it ROCKS. I thought it would be good.. but it is actually better than I expected. Having lot's of fun with this- Thanks Dev!
I'm guessing that he wants to have the option to be able to net +1 card after attacking. But if you are able to attack, you probably are winning since your creatures are all huge flyers. I endorse this change.

I actually won a ultimate masters box playing a version of this deck. I didn't use bone dragon or demanding dragon. I used 2 copies of lathliss, 1 daragaz, along with 2 verix. Was a power house. Bolas and niv together gave so many people trouble. And the deck is not slow at all. Sarkhon and dragons hoard did a lot of ramping.

Great minds think alike! I just finished my Grixis Dragons deck in paper today! I went with more hard removal over the thought erasure (main decked RoS and cast down) but i like your list a lot. Also loved your wrestling references. Also what do you think of using Fungal Infection? I was considering it in the sideboard for Golgari as it kills elves and merfolk, as well as creating a body to sac to eldest or plaguecrafter.
@@d.f.9140I don't understand your comment. Lathliss with Divine Visitation is a non-bo. Lathliss makes 5/5 fliers, visitation makes 4/4s... Lathliss firebreathes dragons, not Angels. If I was doing big Boros, I'd just go Angels and Phoenixes.
That's why devine visitation should be played max 2 of.. u see the dragon engine is to keep the drive up to the late game, devine visitation is only the tool to get an additional way to have fat flyers. It's like a bagbone when u take in consideration, that legions landing and the whole white wheeny theme is pretty token heavy. When u have devine and u play verix it gives u more value.. Do u have lathlis out and devine visitation (in the long run) every card from low, to mid costs gives u higher value out of this combination. It's ment as an additional tool to keep the pain train runnin. Yeah ur 5/5 dragon tokens will become 4/4 instead but u have more mobility because of the vigilance. And actually pheonix's are great in boros u're right, but I think both in boros makes no sense, the archlight needs very few support or you're pushed into a burn theme, so u could/should play straight up burn or counterburn. The rekindling would become an angel yes, but u can have the nearly exact same play one mana earlier with ??dragon egg?? 3 mana, when it dies it becomes a 2/2 dragon flyer with firebreath, I believe. correct me if I'm wrong pls. So the rekindling ends up as a lava coil target in every game, but ur bit insane if u coil it to exilé a mf dragon egg. My oppinion is that rekindling will become a rakdos tool next edition, with gravewaker, archlight, massive burn spells and the ability to thud them, awake them again, and play a spectacular instant or sorcery spell to burn them again, but ur board is still intact.
Legend has it, you can now cast revised shivans for a few bucks a piece lol. I still bring him out every now and then. He leads goblin hordes and ball lightning's.
I'm trying to construct a deck with pain, ojutai, and one other dragon with red white and green and still have my kokuro dragon in there. This requires all the elements. I don't know what to do for this deck to work properly somebody please help!
Hey Dev, Big fan of everything you do What's the difference between this and Grixis control? Pardon my ignorance, I don't usually play standard. I normally play modern, but I do like to make a standard deck every now and then. I'll either make this, Grixis Control, Izzet Drakes :D
Eric McClelland as the name says control, this deck focus more on casting big T H I C C dragons, control plays counterspells and cards like thot erasure and disinformation campaign focusing more on controlling the board than casting creatures
This deck scares the bejebus outta me … Niv basically shuts down a decent part of my version of Golgari (due to x/1's in it - skeleton for value f/e), and if one doesn't draw Removal in like 2 or 3 turns, might as well scoop 'um. in combination with a planeswalker (even saw it in a Teferi deck), now you need even more removal, might as well scoop there and then… It just needs blue (sultai) in the deck to stand a chance really.

and dude just keep one thing in mind, there also is palladia mors, definetely playable in boros /celesnya, with dragons horde.. shalay or aurelia or verix into lyra into palladia seems very resilient to end the game in your favour.
Hi Dev.....the total number of cards: spell + land is 61! I guess you will cut on Lava coil and end up with 3 Lava Coil and 1 Spit Flame. What do you think?
Hey dev! Love the videos! Sweeet deck! Rest of you asking for lathis she’s a 6 drop, top of our curve is Niv-Mizzet... we want to be casting that card on turn 6 every time and hopefully before... if you want to play the queen you would have to cut Niv-Mizzet cutting bone dragon and adding another 6 drop playing it and then get blown out with a removal spell and get no value wasting a turn seems reallllly bad... niv always replaces himself.. Dev, my personal opinion I’d cut dragons hoard..don’t think I’m crazy.. but there’s not a bunch and bunch of dragons maybe 2 to 3 draws a game is nice if you get that.. most of the time I feel that we would use the mana to ramp us and play a spell or fix the mana instead of drawing cards I think the mana base now for this deck is great without dragons hoard.. I’d swap in two cast downs or something.. I would also swap chart a course with discovery||dispersal as you get to dig and pick for the card you need or want and make it a 4 of not to mention it having a great utility on the other side of the card.. also, the 4 mana blade wing I just think is a bad card like lathis on turn 4 I rather play a rekindling Phoenix that’s resilient and protects my planes walker and such as I wait to find my bombs.. my thoughts!! I’m joining your patron now haha

Just got my third Sarkhan, waiting to find a 4th one so I can play some Dragon Tribal, But I want ALL THE DRAGONS!!! The whole misfit family (except Arcades, he's pretty much useless I'm afraid...) =)
before the last card wipe I had a pretty powerful 5 color Dragon deck....if you can keep Sarkan alive the deck is a beast....but that first Sarkan is absolutely the key...you can still win if they remove it, but the tempo loss is huge
Can someone explain to me why pick Bone Dragon over Lathliss? I really haven't played Bone Dragon, so I don't know how that would be better (Besides the Mana Cost)
the ability to bring bone dragon back is a big win with so much control these days, lathliss may be a decent option, i have had some major success with her in the past.

I tried building 4 Color Dragons with Nicol Bolas Niv Mizzet and Chromium it was just too clunky especially with Teferi in the deck. I had way too many 4-7 CMC to make it work well.
I hope I get to play against this at an upcoming tournament. I created my own deck that is extremely cheap costing around $10 that smashes on the whales and I would love to shit all over this deck. Feels good cuz there are some that waste all their money on the most expensive standard net decks because they're unchallenged losers who need lives. If you're cutting out all the time it takes to creatively brainstorm, create and test your own decks then I'm pretty sure you can try to interact in person with others in ways other than playing magic so that maybe one day you can have more hobbies than just table top games and watching TV maybe get in good health get a gf or bf create a family or even just shower or brush your teeth before being around people socially like magic tournaments.

I play it with 4 bone dragon and without demanding and verix.. instead death baron and assembling skeletons are pretty solid
@@d.f.9140 how do you get pluses from skeletons? I've teched it in using vicious offering and laying up the play with radical idea or Sarkhan
with the death baron ur bone dragons can't die to lavacoil and it forces our enemy to blow up the death baron like he would/should do with sarkhan.

How about Discovery // Dispersal instead of chart? It can get you 3 deep if you dump the top two, and has extra utility on the dispersal side.
Also bring able to be casted of black mana too is a huge advantage

Yeah, I'd lean more toward Lathliss over Bone Dragon.
lathlis makes more sense for boros, with verix and the steamkin plus sarkhan (fat flyer... divine visitation splash.. mean fat flyer sometimes)

I tried building 4 Color Dragons with Nicol Bolas Niv Mizzet and Chromium it was just too clunky especially with Teferi in the deck. I had way too many 4-7 CMC to make it work well.
I hope I get to play against this at an upcoming tournament. I created my own deck that is extremely cheap costing around $10 that smashes on the whales and I would love to shit all over this deck. Feels good cuz there are some that waste all their money on the most expensive standard net decks because they're unchallenged losers who need lives. If you're cutting out all the time it takes to creatively brainstorm, create and test your own decks then I'm pretty sure you can try to interact in person with others in ways other than playing magic so that maybe one day you can have more hobbies than just table top games and watching TV maybe get in good health get a gf or bf create a family or even just shower or brush your teeth before being around people socially like magic tournaments.
