My s23u verry light aps max 8h sot, normal usage 6.5, lte under 5h.😂 this is joke. Samsung has trash quality battery. Same us apple and asus trash. This is my last samsung. Next probably huawei or another xiaomi, vivo.. or maybe Sony. Yes sony..
U should drain to 0. That 10% lasts forever on my s24u it feels like 30%.. its weird

I did a geekbench 6 test on my S24 Ultra in late april and in single it was 2310 multicore 7222 like i said i was in april and today i did also geekbench 6 test and to my suprise the score was much lower in single score it was 1918 and multicore 6640 it seems like Samsung has slown down the prossor of the 8 gen3 abit maybe becourse of all those AI featers . @@VelianSpeaksTech
@@trometer19baseless I just did the test and got 2197 and 6949. You currently have apps running in the background or have taken up storage. The same thing allows to Desktop PCs. Temperature and background apps will affect score. You wouldn't even notice it in day to day usage
@@RamonScott777 Did the again twice on geekbench 6 a few minutes ago and the result is ifen abit worse her a the result : Single score : 1912 Multicore :6594 that is rally bad and by the way all apps was close and i cleaned the cache of all apps i have the S24 Ultra ( SM-S928B/DS /512GB ) i did the test on WiFi and their was no simcard in the phone i have to say this pretty bad score i mean normaly i dont care about benchmark becourse it only indicate what the phone is capable of . But on the positive site the batterylife is better now .
Honestly my S23U also doesn't feel to strong in the battery department, its not too bad, but also not better than most phones. Today the same happened to me - the phone dropped fast fast from 20% to 17%, at the lower percentages Samsung phones are pretty unreliable. Its still a full day phone....most days.
It has been like that on any Samsung phone I used. Could take a long time to go down from 100 to 80, but when you're at 30-40 (especially if it's second day) - go search for charger
@@stevanb.2590 Also 100%-95% is a lot faster than other phones. But right now I don't recall many phones that have a worse battery....how's this happening if Samsung's flagships are always praised on their battery life across the reviews? My 3 year old Xiaomi with 4500mah battery last the same....that is not good.
@@user-ij8no5zw6u- I've used Samsung flagships for 7 years (ending with S23U) and it was always pretty much the same. One thing I learned is - never trust reviews when it comes to Samsung phones. And, as soon as next model is presented, last years one gets crippled with updates.

I am not surprised at all. Pixel's processor is less powerful. this means the processor consume less energy. The Samsung's CPU is more powerful and consimes more energy.
The result is as it should be.
A counterargument would be that the soc in the pixel is less efficient than the one in the s24 ultra.. and tbh software optimization is more important

It depends on your use case and if you are willing to pay the extra if there is any extra where u live.. but yea, 99% of what the pixel does the s24 ultra does better
@@AliYassinToma I'm located in Europe / Romania. Here the S24U is cheaper than the Pixel 9 Pro XL. As for my use case, I'm a regular user, social media, some work related stuff, I don't play games on my mobile.
Can you do a real world test like this based on battery using rhe cameras on each phones? Curious to see which one is more efficient in that area and we don't have many tests like that.
I can try, like for example recording 4K60 to see how they will handle
@@VelianSpeaksTech yeah I think that would give some indication. No use in having good battery life if it doesn't matter for the thing most people will use it for.

There are several reasons why your result differed from Phonebuff:
1/ Phonebuff had a realistic standby test of 16+ hours, which is real life, as rundowns obviously do not include standby. The Pixel is a lot worse at standby, even though Google kills a lot of apps in memory. My testing also matches Phonebuff.
2/ The Pixel's chip is vastly inferior, so its performance per watt is lower. This, of course, saves battery in benchmarks, but in real life, when the apps are more optimised, they will run at lower wattage on the S24U as well. OEMs thrash benchmarks to get the best performance, so it is unrealistic for real-life tests.
Hence why, many tests like Phonebuff, including standby and using real apps, show the S24U and iPhone clear of the Pixel.
Yes but I am getting 8 hours SOT ona daily use with my use, and 6 on the S24U with that same type of use.

There's something wrong with Phonebuff test, he showed a difference of only 5% with the P8P while it's easily 15 to 20%
1 your S24 Ultra is the smartphone you've been using every day for almost 7 months, 2 strangely, there is a lot of black surface/bands on the Pixel screen during the test, 3, the white of the Pixel has changed to yellow-orange so less energy consumption, this test is really far from revealing anything.

@gavinderulo12 wouldn't make that big of a difference.. this is a samsung phone, not an iPhone, where the battery degrades after a year of usage to 80%health
@@AliYassinToma it has nothing to do with the manufacturer. These batteries degrade about 1-2% per month depending on usage
@gavinderulo12 no they dont.. 1-2% is too much.. It's like 3% each year. Around that margin.. because 12-24% each year? U might as well buy a new phone yearly if u want good battery life
Also, remember that the Pixel's CPU configuration is very different. The A-core on the Pixel is clocked lower . The B-cores (A720) Pixel has three versus five from the SD8G3, and the C-core or efficiency cores are also clocked lower by a lot, and it has four instead of three like the SD8G3. So, technically speaking, if you use a test where the CPU is being put to its pace, then the S24 will probably last less than the Pixel. With regular usage and app usage, according to PhoneBuff, the S24 wins by a good margin.
Saw that hence expected this to repeat here as well, as both phones were calibrated to 203 nits, same wifi, same sound levels..
But it sint happen.
Under a controlled environment using the same settings and brand-new phones, the Galaxy wins by quite a bit check out phone buffs battery test
I did, hence I was expecting the same here, bit it didn't happen for a reason.
