Do not be hard on yourself! We all have “those” lessons 😂! You looked amazing on Theo and on cloud and I am so proud of you! In my lesson today, Callie the mare I ride, spooked and she did a little crow hop and started galloping away and I fell 😂. I got up in three seconds though and we got back to riding and jumping! It was one of those slow motion falls and I wish my mom got it on video! You looked amazing and don’t degrade yourself and your riding! You are a rockstar! 💛
aww i’m so glad that you’re progressing! you and theo remind me a lot of myself and my horse arrow, i can’t wait until the day i can ride him english and start some eq and jumping on him!
Yes girl! You are amazing! I finally am able to take lessons again and omg I forgot how awesome it is! I hope I can get a horse some time in the future and great job! 💖👍🐎
I am currently taking lessons, but I saw your video from 2018 of how to get your parents to get you a horse, I will be showing them it in about a month so I don't have my hopes up. And I love how your progressing awesomely! I've been watching all your videos
Hey girl don’t beat yourself up! I didn’t think you looked too bad at all! And give yourself some credit, it was some new things and fear is SO hard to overcome. You’re doing great!! Cheering for you!
We all have days where we feel like we can’t ride! Honestly you looked great, cloud is such a gorgeous horse and looks like he has a really kind nature. You and Theo are doing fantastic! X
Awwww yay! I can imagine this probably would have been nervoucited (nervous+excited) but you two looked amazing together! You also looked adorable on Cloud too
Girl you look SO good!♡ You and Theo looked AMAZING! there was a stage in my riding, where I literally couldn't understand ANYTHING! I would have to ask over and over again until I would somewhat understand what I was supposed to do. But those days were probably the ones that thought me the most♡ I think that was like six months into my riding.
my previous lesson I was trotting over a very short log but wasn't able to get the horse over it and he kept shying away from it. Eventually my trainer told me to get off so I did. I walked him back to the cross ties and took off his bridle before another trainer told me to get back on so we could go on a trail ride. By far my worst lesson yet but I am still going to continue even though it really did kick my confidence. You did look really good on Theo and Cloud. Summer is the hardest season to train in because of the heat while in the winter you can go into a heated indoor arena usually. You shouldn't be so hard on yourself when your learning again after such a big accident and covid. You're doing amazing!
Don't worry Laura, we all have rough rides some times. All that matters is that you learn from it and progress from there. Ask yourself this though, how many people are out there who can actually jump a horse? 10,000? 100,000? That isn't that many people in the grand scheme of things! Keep up the great work!
Cloud’s a nice looking horse. You’re too down on yourself. I didn’t see anything you did that I could critique. You did great. You can’t always be 100 %. It was hot and humid. You’re handling the horses in such a professional manner. Really great and you look cute!
oh my gosh, I don’t even know!! Probably the lesson where a pony named Midnight jumped sideways upon spooking at something in the aisle and i slid right off! Midnight dumped me at a show once too after he refused at a fence (my fault, I was afraid because it was a “touch and out” competition and the fence was bigger than I had ever jumped) and left me in the dust! Your ride wasn’t that bad, everyone’s been there and ur riding probably felt worse than it looked. I’m happy for you that you rode in an English saddle with Theo and You looked lovely on Cloud🙂 hope you keep gaining lots of confidence!! Best of luck
Ive had so many bad lessons like one time i was doing no stirrups and no hands work and my horse got spooked by a cow so i face planted in rocks. BTW you actually looked pretty good!! Im glad you're moving forward !
You’re being too hard on yourself! You looked great. 💕 my worst lesson was when I was 12, my normal trainer wasn’t at the barn but a trainer that didn’t like me much decided to take on my lesson anyway. Weellll, she insisted I needed to ride a horse that was far too green for me at the time and like 5 minutes into the lesson he took off with me I had a bad concussion, a gnarly bruise and dislocated shoulder by the end of the ride. 😂
I had a lesson once where i could not support myself either lol. My trainer made me canter with no stirrups and I almost fell off at every corner and I looked horrendous. Not very many things went well that day :)
First of all good job. And my worst lesson was I was riding a horse that I was not very confident on and his canter is very big at the beginning and there were two crossrail jumps so you had to trot in then canter out and i trotted in and it was not that good I started falling back then one of my stirrups slipped and then he started cantering faster because I was gripping with my calves and then I fell off the back and I blacked out and got two concussions
My worst lesson there was puddles everywhere and I was trotting and then my horse lightning tripped and fell and I fell off and he was fine so I got back on and the then it started poring and then lightning spooked at a trash truck and took off cantering but 5 mins later I got him settled and I got off and untacked but that was my worst lesson 😐
Hello loved it xxxx im happy as i can ride again (i couldnt ride because of corona and im in the uk so we had a huge lockdown) but i think i broke my little toe so that may not happen 😭😂
Do you prefer riding western or english? I ride western but thinking about getting a light weight saddle and might want to try english.. can you name some of the main feel differences, which is more comfortable? Thanks
My last lesson a year ago.... was my worst to date my foot was hurting badly for no reason.... I don’t know maybe I was holding it in the wrong position or something. But it prohibited me from doing two point and posting which was horrendous cause I didn’t get my one hours worth lesson.
Congratulations!! Just take everything slow. Take a day or two where you just hang out with her in the pasture so you guys can get to know each other. Most importantly, have fun! 💕
@@LauraElsieGrace Lol, your welcome. Don't be surprised if I always come so fast 🤣 I was watching a dogo channel and got the notification and was like.....see ya later dogo 🤣
I had one really bad lesson where the horse wanted to play with me on her and she jumped and I hit my head on her neck and she did that again and then I switched barns and we never went back to that barn again😂😂😂😂
@@LauraElsieGraceOH MY GOSH u actually REPLIED as soon as I saw this I almost started crying ur the reason I’m still doing horseback I have a lesson today so now I’m sure that it’s a good idea
You're definitely your own worst critic because I saw nothing to be ashamed of in this video! What I saw was your second jumping lesson in a long while and you cantering up through a line. And I saw you ride your horse whom you have had some confidence knocks with both on the lunge without reins AND in english tack for the first time in a long while. Absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.
Looked great to me! Step by step, you’re getting there! ❤️
Thank you ❤️
You have a nice canter

3 hours. Which sounds like a long time, but this is the only barn we could find with good training for Theo 😊
