Ive watched literally thousands of v8 videos and this 440 is the best sounding v8 ive ever heard. 10/10
Rotang Man wish he would post up the specs on the motor I would like to copy it on my build
I agree about the 440.
Sounds incredible 👍
Yess, LORD!!!
@@dangerousfreedom4965 No Messing- this thing sounds as good as a Hemi!
That's the sound of America
YEAH!!!
What the fuck Jack
what's your engine setup? 440...
Never have truer words been spoken
I'm a 68 to 70 second gen and usually prefer the 68 model but this car here is my all time favorite charger love maximus 2000 but this car here someone done right motor right watch many videos and nothing sounds as good or snaps to life like a top fueller the best is when he comes up the drive way if you listen real good and have it cranked up you can here it echo off the woods I give it 15 minutes til the sheriff's here that's fucking funny Rick I want that car if I win the lottery I'm going to have a private detective track you down so I can buy the car off you wishful thinking probably wouldn't sell it anyways I wouldn't I wouldn't even want a second car just that one and a winter beater
'69 and '70 has the most BADASS tail lights I have ever seen on a car
Yes, I certainly agree. I have had 2 '66 Chargers, '67 Charger, '68 Charger(and many more old classic mopars, and other classics.) But the one that keeps alluding me is the ultimate dream car: The '69 Charger R/T. I loved my '68 tail lights, but there is something indescribably cool about the tail panel and tail lights of a '69 Charger(especially when coupled with a nice R/T stripe.) That 3D look and angle combine with their shape. And when the entire car with all its beauty: wide doors, flip top gas cap, sunk in demonic looking grill and functioning heading doors, hood design, and mean throaty growl of a mighty mopar power plant, along with perfectly designed interior and woodgrain floor console, wow!!! What an automotive masterpiece. A beautiful strong handling (nothing drives and feels like a Charger of that era) Dodge built an absolute work of automotive art. The masterpiece of the muscle cars.
Totally agree, so many say 68 but these are just so badass
68s the coolest one back and front
I like to watch Bullitt chase scene over and over I like seeingv that poor mustang struggle to keep up to the charger
No@@darrenbrisson4336
Still my favorite sound and style from the first muscle-car era.
When was the second muscle car era?
@@bushmaster2936 The Muscle cars did not stop being produced, however in late nineties to middle 2000s is where ford + Dodge + Chevrolet started another series competition in Muscle performance amongst them.
i wish they made cars like that today.
+Eric Andrew
Amen!! If it were up to me, we'd tell the tree huggers and nanny state loving PC do-gooders to go kindly go fuck themselves.
+Eric Andrew Yes fuck super and turbochargers. All motor muscle needs to come back
You're right FUCK all of that hellcat shit from today
Yeah those aren't even muscle. In my opinion, muscle cars died after the 70's. I love my '75 Firebird/Trans Am clone.
@@atranfanatic Idk I consider the 80s Buick Regal GN to be muscle cars
If anyone has ever asked you, EXACTLY what a high lift, high duration, full race camshaft sounds like, inside of a big block, DODGE, atmosphere gulping, monster pavement pounding Charger, have a listen to the potato-potato KRACK,!!! potato-potato KRACK!!!!! Oh so BEAUTIFUL sound, SLAMMING out the dual pipes, on this Detroit Masterpiece... And if you ever wondered what that very cam, would allow the car to do, have a look at the Instant Tire Scorching Acceleration (known as I.TS.A., as in ITSA Helluva chebby and ferd KILLING MOPAR!!!) that happens, when pressure is applied, to the gas pedal... What an absolute Chrysler thing of beauty this car is... Everything about this car is spot-on correct, and couldn't be nicer! Nice Job, and a BIG slice of raisin pie, to the Owner/Builder of this Rolling Monument To Chrysler Horsepower... Why would a Ford or Chevy even bother?!?!? ;-) no disrespect intended, because it's all American Iron, but some of it is just much more superior, American Iron!!!
Paul Bourgeois very well said my friend. Your description brings it to life thanks for sharing Paul
Danny Cleary nothing replaces high lift, and high duration. Getting those valves to open up deep, and then getting them to stay open for a longer period of time, allows the combustion chamber to be crammed with a much more dense fuel and air mixture...add new hot plug technology that you can buy currently, and you get that überbeautiful KRAKK when he goosed the throttle... Listening to the results of a very technically competent and savvy mechanic, is like listening to a supertuned mechanical symphony! "Opus of Chrysler in Big Block Major" ;-) Damn, if that's not my favorite Symphony! From the "classic" period, I do believe!!! ;-)
Yep, this is a good video. I already have this one saved to my favorites amongst others. Good stuff here Paul!
I think youd be good at writing stories and poetry about motors. I know my motors too but damn. lol
JON H thank you brother, I actually did write a poem about my bad ass 1970 Plymouth Road Runner, the first car I ever owned, when I was a sophomore in high school in 1979... I'll have to look it up, and post it for you guys... I think my Mopar buddies, Ty Turco, and Danny Cleary, here on Google+ would appreciate it!
Part of it was something like,
"as 4 barrels of Holley, ram gobs of car-crack, straight down Edelbrock's throat, thru purple shaft bumpsticked, fire breathing trey springed valve trains, to 440 cubic inches of Chrysler Combusted, piston scorching Fury, hurling you headfirst, down A-833 pistolgrip 4 starving gear shifted, Dana cogged, Hoosier tire singed and blistered blacktop, past a ford and a Chevy, rattling apart at speed, victims of rookie wheel hop... No, Chevy and Ford, they don't come 'round here no more...
That was pretty bad, but that's sort of how I remember writing it, as it brought the passion out of me, for the Mopars I have loved for so long... I actually thought about submitting it to Mopar Muscle magazine, as I have never seen a hot rod or a Mopar poem before... So maybe they would print it... If they don't laugh it right into the garbage can... so if I find it, maybe I will, but I want to find it so you guys can read it... because it's much better than what I just posted here, off the top of my head... Stay Tuned, fellow Moparphiles....;-) ;-)
Damn, the throttle response is instant! Love it. Good job.
That car is PERFECT! Perfect sound, perfect color combo, perfect rear tire width.. Awesome, simply awesome!
You can here him whispering, " God I love this car" 0:47
Im still saying that Haha
I come back every so often for the idle and the blips. Helps me relax.
Same here, brother!
Old Chargers are the real chargers! My favorite muscle car of them all 1969-1970 models.
I first saw this video 9 years ago and now I'm back for seconds
I’ve been watching this video for 10 years. Thank you! Hope you still have this car homie
What an incredible sound, what an incredible machine... always love coming back here to see this classic Mopar peel rubber like it should, leaves me speechless every time!
I envy all of you, who own a Charger. I have dreamed, since childhood, that I would one day own one. Time is growing short, for me. But, I thank all of you that share videos of your Chargers. Makes an old man happy.
Thanks fellas.
Thats how a car is supposed to sound!
That was AMERICAN!!! Thank You,Man!
I watched this about 15 times in a row with a giant grin on my face.
definitely the best sounding car on you tube right now. Ive bookmarked this video so I can watch it over and over any time.... Awsome. Great looking charger mate.
amazing sound, seriously one of the best audio from a burnout video on youtube.
I love how this car sounds.Awesome
no ones fucking wit you on te street if you see a charger you clear the road and steer to the right , even ambulances in emergency should give the charger the right of way
Are you nuts , If i see a charger i'm getting as upclose and personal with that beauty as I possibly can , that's like not checking out a smoking blonde in a miniskirt who just dropped her credit card ;D
ImJustPlayinn
haha cant blame you bro, id risk getting hit by a charger just to look at a it, when im in the ambulance on life support id ask the medic"is the charger ok"
" I hope my blood comes off the vinyl top and mag wheels" hahaha
Lol !
That is nasty. Sounds awesome! I am about to order a Blueprint 493 for my 68 Charger.
Ugh I had to come back and watch, this video still gets me excited to this day lol.
And on the 8th day God created the 69 Charger and he saw that it was BAD!!!!!
no
Indeed and god said and man shall have this and on that Day the Charger was created and it was good
That's one mean car, please bring the gas prices down so that the owner can drive it more often!
Wish Granted!
Don Corleone in europe we have 4 times bigger gas prices than in the usa and we have to pay insanely high car taxes for owning anything with a big engine so you have to be rich to own a charger in europe and afford the insurance fuel and other shit 😥 it's so fucking annoying that sometimes are regret that i wasn't born in the usa because i love muscle cars in the eu owning a hellcat camaro mustang gt (american version) or a classic charger is even more expensive than owning a bmw m3 or even a c63 amg you have to pay more insurance and car taxes for american cars because thay are 'not ecological enough' for our retarded laws
The petrol and diesel prices in the U.S. are cheap as compared to Australia, Europe to the UK just to name a few so you North Americans have it lucky so stop complaining
the main thing I love about these cars, is that you dont hear that roar until you rev! amazing
440 and 426 are some of the best engines ever made.
You can't beat the sound of a mopar. 👍. It makes me smile every time I hear it.
BEEF, IT'S WHAT'S FOR DINNER!!!
Haha hell yeah!
💯✔❕
It's impossible to ask for anything more in a car than this. Missing nothing. Perfection. That's a wrap.
I just scoured the internet to find this again. Seriously this video accurately captured the raw sound of a bas ass Charger better than these over produced long drawn out videos on here. Kuddos man.
The best one on Mopar music video, I crank it all the way up in my man cave😂😂😂😂
my favorite car
NIK You have excellent taste.
That is one of the most beautiful cars ever made! It looks and sounds awesome. For my money, there is nothing better than an old American muscle car. Great work guys!
one word DAMN! that thing's a beast!
13 years on and this is still my fav video! all the way from Western Australia!
Nice "mild cam" sounds awesome
Finally someone with one of these cars and some BALLS!
sounds like nascar but better
+john hamlet
It sounds better and definitely looks better than anything NASCAR these days. Ain't nobody wanna see a Camry or Fusion going around a track. NASCAR has lost their minds. They really need to bring back stock cars.
I agree. After they got rid of carbs and went to fuel injection. I lost interest. What was the final straw was putting foreign cars in an American race. That did it for sure.
john hamlet Cause it's a Big Block. More heavier sound and torque.
used to hear it every day in the old days, miss it
Cuenta 1 doesn’t the Charger have a nascar engine lol
I love how it's original on the outside and crazy built on the inside
Just another reason to love mopars
out of all the 1969 dodge charger videos that are burn outs and exhaust from a 69 440 magnum is the most beauifulist sound GOD MADE THANK YOU STUD
Eu sou apaixonado por esse estilo de carro
It may just be a burnout BUT it's a burnout from a 440 beast!! Beautiful Charger! Love the way that bad-ass cam you have in it makes it sound!! Thanks for that man!
Thats the exact sound i was searching for ... can you tell me the Spesc plz ???
His Dad: "Who made a freakin' mess with all that rubber in the driveway?"
Him: "I was doing burnouts."
His Dad: "Without me?"
That car was engineered for "burn outs".. 😃
V8 car + 3 friends (?) having some fun with the V8 + oldschool TH-cam = Pure Gold
I miss the good and (not too) old late 2000's TH-cam...
I'm a chevy fan... but fuck, anyone hating on this car is fucken nuts
.
That is one of the the best sounds in the world right there. And old muscle car with a lumpy idle. No import car can beat that
Music to my ears. Only DODGEEEEE
Я искренне завидую этому человеку! И в то же время рад за него!
Bass so deep, guess I came :O
That is an awesome sound. The way cars are meant to.
You can't do that in a 4 banger, rice burning shit heap. That's all American Muscle right there baby!
+Travis Greer Exactly what part of this isn't attainable in a 4 banger?
Seriously? If you have to ask me that then you don't get it. Therefore I'm not going to explain it.
+Travis Greer Ok, thanks, that wraps it up quite nicely.
One of the best Chargers I've ever seen absolutely beautiful. How can anyone dislike this video?
I would do this right before getting my driveway sealed
I would do it daily
He WAS sealing it LOL
@@carlspackler91 Ah yes, the good old rubber coated asphalt.
@@darrylgibson3575 Guaranteed to bead water for 20 years !
@@carlspackler91 15 minutes till the sheriff gets here, it would only take 3 days to get solid coverage.
As an English enthusiast of the amazing history of American classics it's this that really does it for me it's just Wow!!
Wicked Awesome vid. I remember seeing this a few years ago. Idle is music to my ears. Almost sounds like Ginger Baker :)
The depth is monsterous. What a killer ride. I miss my 383 Mag every day.
Fucking sound, the best music
i like the tail light bar on the new ones but one defining feature on the older ones like yours is the hood scoop. that one feature right there is what made it stand out the most and i feel shouldnt have been left out of the new model. the srt10 has it and some other hemi rams do too. 2 things i like about the charger is if you have a family or just like the convenience it has 4 doors and if u live where u get snow, u can get it in awd which i think awd lowers ur insurance a bit too
someone get me paper towel, Im done.
Unlike most videos of me waiting for the operator to lay it down, you never let me down lol….. way to go bro, awesome car, and you’re not afraid of it …… beautiful sound…. Can’t beat the mopar 100%
American MOFO Muscle right there.....
just listen to that quiet confidence - and then the thunder rolls
Almost done building my chevelle as cheaply correct as possible... I'm about 12K into it and it has taken me 10 years.... she's ALMOST done.... lol to go buy what i'm building is about 35K for a perfect 1970... and they aren't THAT rare....
How is it? 2020 update?
that exhaust sound is like old war drums ! beast of a motor
tell the sheriff the tire marks are from the neighbors Prius... and the jerk pulls this sht all the time....
If you guys want to have some fun, get you a Charger. In 1977 I had a 70 R/T 440 Magnum, it was a blast. I hope to someday maybe get another.
love the car, but sorry man gotta thumbs down burning out in your own driveway.
Would you rather it be in a public street?
its a black driveway lol
what is that youtube rules now or what? "oh wait, can't enjoy the video, gotta thumbs down :/"
ha bye.
I would suggest mine haha
Are you fucking kidding me with this comment?
I could listen to that all day.
Nothing better than a big block v8 .
Fastest car I ever road in...still grinning about that ride a few years ago!!!
Oh I agree 100%. By the way, I've driven it in the snow (2WD) and it's actually not too bad as long as you have Blizzaks. My daily is an AWD Magnum though which is even better in the snow (as good as the SUV's I used to own).
Love the color, sound, and body style. Best Mopar car ever
My childhood Charger was a '73 Sherwood Green SE. Greens go in and out of style, but I've always loved that color.
Kids broke into dads garage. ... I don't know that ; in trying to make jokes. Beautiful charger thanks for sharing. Better put it back before dad gets home. Lol
Yes you are right, and it's even better when you have a good set of speakers to play it through.
nice car man. nice paint job, nice engine, nice sound. perfect.
could listen to this on repeat all day
dude this seriously is the best sounding car i've ever heard by far!!!!!!!!!
i hope to get a similair sound out of my 71 camaro when i finish it.
greetings from the netherlands
I wish i lived in Detroit in the 70's in my 20's 30's and owning a car like that...an era thats gone forever but the spirit is alive in these cars and the sound they make...
without description. This car is my dream
One of the best sounds on youtube.. !
be proud of it its the ultimate muscle car in my view
And here I am watching this again for the 1.3 k time it seems
You know its a beast when it struggles to idle after startup
And unleash the Beast afterwards once it’s on.

You fellers need to stop talking about my one-eyed trouser snake...

Best sounding engine on the www! Great job Rick with putting the hammer down.
just a burnalout- but what a car dame. - you are breaking many hearts in the world
Now this is a real CAR. Such a beautiful car and makes me cry like a baby
Love the way that car sounds!
What a dream machine, I love all the late 60's mopars.
That LOW PIPE sound though!!!!
as soon as i heard the car start i instantly favorited
Sweet,.. My first car in high school. Same color green with the same top. But not that much power but still enough to have a lot of fun as a kid...Thanks for the vid
I've had 2 69 Chargers, both 383 Magnums. Nothing like a 600hp mod., but did leave lotsa rubber carpet and took the 1st one up to 145mph, (in 1973 still under warranty, I was 18yo) but with no rev limiter in those days, they flew. And the 727 Torqueflite would chirp at 40 going into second. But really, have you ever seen such a beautiful muscle car?
Wow thats awesome. The color is beautiful on that car and it sounds like a very angry beast with that crazy cam. Well done sir.
tats the only reason why we love burnouts plus the sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the power of this car outstanding
