I’m in the process of making up a couple of jigs to do the same thing, but I plans on cutting the top of the cylinder flat first and then threading the through holes in the fins so I can cut the squish and base at the same time
hi bellhopper,sir,when I was using my lathe the power went out and messed it up to.what I was doin not the lathe,I was puttin a space on a axial for a c clamp and didn't do to long and power went guess should used a grinder I think good video sir,I'm gwttin ready work on snowblowers soon ha.later bellhopper sir

What type of dial indicator are you using with that long reach i side the bore? This is an excellent video.
I just picked up an old atlas 12” lathe. I have never touched one but hopefully I’ll have it on a bench pretty soon
