The folks who made these songs lived in a different world. Creativity abound - so many instruments coming together like absolute magic!. The keyboard backing and solos, violin, bass, the amazing fast pace of the drums. When I started running a few years ago, this song would simply make you feel light as if you are flying. The antara is so amazing and both Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar are sending sheer high precision electricity through those mics. Really those were the days when the singing mattered, the background music mattered, the antara mattered and the mukhda mattered. Nowadays it is all fillers reaching to a hook line (usually copied) that everyone can groove to. Total decadence in bollywood. Folks like Amit Trivedi are the only hope but they don't get that many opportunities.
