1. Treats him like dirt.

3. Said his hobby of drawing is dumb. Not his animae hobby, though it ties together. He worked hard at that. If she didn't like it she could've just said that was it good but not her thing. I'm glad that Futaba was able to apologize and be honest with her feelings, but it seriously shouldn't have happened in the first place. She insulted Kazuya's hobby and wouldn't own up to her own fault even after being called out on it, multiple times.
Kazuya really should have just flat out called Futaba on what she did and how she insulting that was and how she never apologized for it.
Umi was the much better choice, she had the same hobby, was honest with her feelings, and never insulted him.
If Futaba wants to match Umi to gain Kazuya's heart, she needs to quit being such a toxic tsundere and be honest and loving towards him. as everyone here has noticed, this is an example of a poorly written tsundere. the tsundere is a character personality trope that is VERY easy to fuck up. few ACTUAL anime get them right. its moreso the denial and inability to be straightforward, but still shows signs they like someone. the latter part is where most fail at writing one. as a result... they instead turn out as violent, abusive people, or a toxic cloud of a person. this isnt the only "mangadub" channel that has an issue with poorly written tsunderes, sadly.

Ngl, I can understand the childhood friend in this situation. They are too comfortable with each other that she really doesn't think that her words will really hurt him. Since that is not the first time they "cut ties with each other", she thought it will be like the same scenario. It is wrong to really call someone's hobby as "disgusting", even with a close friend, but at least in the end, she realized her mistakes.
On the other hand, the other girl may look like a good catch from a glance, but who knows what she really is on the inside. There's a possibility that she will change once they are in a relationship.
So yeah, with the CHF, at least the MC already know her from the get go, and adjustments from friends to lovers are not drastic. With the 2nd FL, they hit it off initially but who knows what will happen if they became official. It that context, it really is a hard choice.

MC, you can't keep putting it off forever. You're in a love triangle with two beautiful girls who want your full undivided attention. So if I were you, I'd make a decision and fast. Otherwise the scenario's not gonna end well and someone's gonna get hurt, mainly you because of your indecisiveness. Do it and get it out of the way.

Id give futaba a chance. We barely got any backstory and all we really know is that shes stubborn and is used to their current type of relationship that theyve built over years. In addition the narrative kinda sticks to the MC headspace without giving us any real glimpses into the two girls headspaces. Plus futaba tried to apologize earlier (idk but it looks like a panel or something skipped and the mc just didn't hear her due to mi for some reason) and the apology is really all he wanted, and like they said they do this enough for it to be a sort of routine for them so yeah it may not be entitlement so much as just how they are? He clearly never took the mocking to heart he was just going through their routine. That being said futaba was/is in the wrong and also is as much too blame for that situation if not more than the MC (mc kept this vicious cycle going as much as she did by staying in that friendship that long and futaba cause of her earlier insults). Shes also way too comfortable thinking that she was the only one interested in the MC which is partly to blame for this mess. She didn't take it to extremes i feel but she did do something bad by mocking the drawing he had also her direct quote wasnt that all shows like that were for kids, it was that THAT show was for kids. Which is fair since people do that to bronies and others in similar circles due to perceived stigmas stemming from biased opinions that stem from troublesome..... Tendancies in those communities. However we dont know that since we aren't in her headspace as much as the MC.
Tldr: we dont get a close enough view into the headspace of futaba to be able to completey discount her from being a viable choice. This is just a spat they had and all we know is that theyve had multiple of those and for some reason we arent shown they keep coming back to each other.

These kinds of stories should not have an ambiguous ending, as common sense seems to point to the girl that treats the MC better unless the plot gets way deeper than is shown.
Ambiguous endings with two females would be ok if both of them got along well with the MC, as you could create a separate scenario for each female with its own good ending.
Really need more MC’s who can stand up for themselves and know when enough is enough.
