“A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.” Such a gentle Saviour The second coming He will be coming in judgement
Yes, Amen, Jessy. What a beautiful wonderful Savior our Lord is. Yes, the judge... >> 2 Thessalonians chapter 1. Wonderful for us, His bride, so scary for our persecuters. Mercy Lord, mercy! Blessings, grace and peace to you.
@@alivingstone4Him …when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who [d]believe, because our testimony among you was believed.” Glorious Word of the Almighty
Jesus knows about being picked last or not at all. For He is the Man who was rejected by all men. He knows what it is to suffer in agony, alone, as his mates deserted him in exchange for sleep. He not only was the perfect model servant when He came to earth in total obedience to His Father but continues to strengthen and encourage us to do the same as we follow Him. Jesus truly was A FRIEND to the FRIENDLESS. What a great passage David has picked out to share for us as he does daily. Don't forget to support him on his translation endeavors and also his wife's missionary dental project. You can do so by going to the Enduring Word website.
I thought God refers to Jesus as his son, and not as his servant. God refered to Moses as his servant, David as his servant. Why then is Jesus refered to here as his servant ?
Moses and David were servants but were not perfect. Moses and David murdered men. David had 15 wives and 10 concubines, 21 kids. Good as they both were (by our modern-day human standards) would you prefer to follow those who serve God (and sometimes themselves) or how Jesus modeled what a servant ought to be? Do you have children, my friend? Do you not ask them to do anything for you? When you do, do you not expect them to do it, and do it correctly? Same then is Jesus. You can have a son, but remember that son, can also serve and obey.
dear weasel, it wasn't always that way. Once we were in the garden with Him, walking daily, hearing from Him, learning from Him, we were made perfect in His image. We do not know how long it took for Adam and Eve to fall and pass that fallen human nature onto us, yet we know when they fell, that is when we became like the serpent listening to the father of lies. For he told Eve, you will know good (they already did that) and EVIL - which was his specialty turning angels away from God. Evil was not meant for us, but even if we did choose it, God, had a rescue plan, so He sent His perfect Servant, His Son Jesus, to pay the price, to atone for our sins then, now, and forever. He is a graceful and merciful God. All Eve and the world gained was a contrasting view, EVIL. They did not become like God, they became as he was - he who thinks of himself as a powerful god, but really is nothing. Greater is He that is in the Believer, than the one that is and follows the world's ways.
@@servingjesussinnersavedbyg8456 I appreciate your message to me and to countless others who might come across this comment. I believe the Gospel of Christ. But I still wonder about our Lord's amazing love and grace because I find nothing redeemable, nothing lovable, nothing good in me in light of our Lord's perfection.
@@servingjesussinnersavedbyg8456 Yes, I understand that after imputation we have the perfection of Christ in us. However, what good is there in any of us at the very beginning when He chose to love us?
@@wetlandweasel there is no inherent good in us. It is a good question for you to ask God when you face Him. Here would be my answer to you. I don't know why, and it's not important that I know each and every thing, what is important is it's true, and I'm thankful He does. God is God and He can choose to love those whom He chooses and wills. I hope that helps.
Amazing exposition, thank you Father in Heaven for these daily devotionals

@David Guzik Did you realize this is Prophet Muhammed ...?
The Muslims say that Isaiah 42 is about Muhammad. Dr Micheal Brown schooled them in a debate.
Why would the holy God delight in a sinner who is vile, wicked, evil, detestable?
