I am so glad I watched that. Now when I don’t get a good crimp, I can see there can be multiple reasons. Thank you for showing all that, and not cleaning it up for the camera. And the bracelet is beautiful.
The moment you laid the black beads next to the green my heart 🖤 dropped. All I could see was drab and depressive. So happy to see you decided against them. 🙏. ♥️. 🙏.
Isn't it a pain to cut all the knots individually? I get that it helps if your necklace breaks - the beads don't fly everywhere and get lost. And yes, I have a whole lot of those bits of jewellery that I've taken apart and that's as far as it has gone😂 I rely on you lovely, wonderfully clever TH-camrs to give me inspiration. Thank you all for helping this old lady pretend to be creative.💖💖💕💕🌹🌹 At least you have all taught me how to repair my broken/damaged older jewellery which has been languishing in a bottom drawer. 🙏 Thank you from the bottom of my heart for that help. 🇦🇺
Actually, I think it would be harder to tie the knots in between each bead and get them perfect than to cut the knots with small scissors. My goal in my videos is to simply inspire creativity. Glad you find my videos helpful. Thank you.
Thank you, Kim. I’m glad you like it when I speed up the videos because that is a regular part of my videos. No more real time videos like I did recently. It just takes too much time. So, more speed up in the future.
Somewhat challenging but I learned a lot along the way. I hope you did too. Thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing, VIckie & Mark ~ Avante Jewelry
That crimping tool drives me NUTS! I have found HL brand to be pretty sorry in the sewing notions. I think the quality of the crimp bead makes a lot of difference.
Yes, the crimp bead or tube must match the size recommended by the crimp tool company. After this video, I bought a new crimper tool because it was decades old. Haven’t had any trouble since. Thank you.
I think the newer crimp pliers are made for smaller crimp beads and the older crimping pliers are for larger crimps. I like using the larger crimping pliers on crimp covers. it works like a charm for me. 🤫😁
Was so happy you didn't use the black beads, i did not like them. My goodness you have a lot of patience, i probably would have chucked it all. Loves the bead you added at the end.
there will be someone who'd love the dalmation jasper cabs. I would say would do better with wire wrap jewelry if you have any friends who do it you may want to give it to them or make a collaboration piece. Collaboration is always cool
Oh, I just didn’t like it at all with the other beads. I won’t throw it away. Although it’s not my favorite Jasper, I might sell it on eBay or someday remake it with something else. Your collab idea is interesting. Thank you!
Vickie on the crimping tool use the back slot to crimp the tube then the front slot folds the crimp. Its not the first position then second its the back slot first to crimp the tube then the first slot to fold the crimp tube. I just watched your video and I seen how you were struggling with those crimps. I used to as well till someone showed me how to properly use the crimp tool. Now my crimps are just beautiful. Sometimes also the size of the beading wire on the package will tell you what size crimp to use. In this video though your not using the crimp tubes to separate the wire. When the wire is first crimped it forms two channels so the wire is separated. If they aren't they will slide around and then break. On your second bracelet if you go back and look closely you will see that the tool separted the wire and I think that's why the tool worked. I have both crimp tools the larger and the smaller one. The larger one works beautifully for crimp covers too. I have been watching your videos for awhile and I learn a lot. Please don't take my comment negativly. I think you are a wonderful designer. I hope I haven't over stepped. If I have I do apologize. I mean I hope I don't make you upset. Thank for all the beautiful pieces that you design and thanks for sharing 🤗Syndy
I did struggle in this video, but no worries. I have used my crimping tool for so many years, over a decade, so I thought it might be worn out. I bought a new one and made this video to clarify that there is more than one way to use a crimping tool. And, yes, it’s important to have the wires side-by-side. th-cam.com/video/r2T82EnJci0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=O4FXoVZ6U41zabda Thank you!

I love the color of these. I also like when you speed up the video!

Beautiful bracelet
I have a vintage bracelet with these green stones
You’ve given me ideas.
Ty😊
Love that! Have fun if you decide to upcycle it. Thank you!
I HAVE to upcycle it! It’s hideous 😂
I love the addition of the bead on the extension chain. They turned out really pretty. I love aventurine and that it does look like jade.
Thank you!

Love how they turned out! Thanks Vickie.
Thank you Diane!

I didn’t either! As to patience, it’s more like persistence. I just didn’t want to give up. Lol. Thank you Maggie!

I agree. The Black takes away. Don’t need it.
Thank you!

How do you determine jewelry is vintage?
The common “age” for vintage these days is 20+ years.
