Okay explanation time. the multiverse obviously has infinite universes, but The Central Finite Curve is essentially a collection of all the universes where rick is the smartest and strongest being in said universe, which also makes TCFC infinite, since infinite universes in general, so infinite universes where rick is supreme. The Central Finite Curve is basically a barrier separating those universes from others, and Evil Morty has passed that barrier, so he's free of Rick.
i mean but rick can go their too right? he just doesnt becuase their would be smarter, stronger beings in those areas?

@@EasyWinking nah, if rick was able to go to those universes, Morty wouldn't need all this work to blow the curve, he could just steal a portal gun. The importance of the curve isn't just to keep ricks in, it's to keep people smarter than rick out. If someone else invented multidimensional travel, had crazier technology and decided rick was a threat, that'd be a problem to them since that's basically the only thing Rick has over everyone else in his own dimensions.

About Rick C147 - his actuall wife and Beth was killed by the most powerfull Rick, also known as Rick Prime. C147 started chasing Rick Prime and during such chase he found cult of Ricks, which later will become Councile of the Citadel. C147 thought that Rick Prime is leader of the cult, but after killing leader he found out he was not. Years passed, cult of Ricks was reborn and they were trying to kill Rick C147, but he almost destroyed the cult again. They surrendered, asked C147 to build the Citadel and theb left him alone. Newborn Councile of Citadel didn't know that Citadel is a control center of Central Finite Curve - wall around infinity, separating universes where Rick is the smartest from all others. Rick C147 was trying to lock Rick Prime with him iside of the Curve. After that he found the universe where Rick left his wife and daughter and decided to live there. And it was the Croninberg univers - original universe of our Morty.

Yellow is true interdimensional travel, basically it allows you to travel everywhere, and anywhere, that wasn't blocked by the finite curve.
Evil Morty's plan was to be free of rick but it was also kind of a metaphor for him wanting to be free from the show itself. By leaving the Central Finite Curve, he's left the show. Its kind of like a canonical fourth wall break.

I've been waiting for you to watch this episode since you first seen evil morty and WOW every time I watch this episode I always get goosebumps. Such a good episode that explains so much, seeing Rick's real backstory for the first time was such a cool experience

basically what happened is that all ricks have built a protection from other universes where they are not the smartest beings and evil morty wanted to destroy the finite curve wich causes this. He did and then jumped threw the golden Portal into a Universe where we don't exactly know but think that he jumped into a universe with beings possibly more powerful and smarter than rick. The Rick Backstory is explained in S6

Beth of our Rick did die. But after he rebuilt the Citadel he went to universe C137 where there was the Smith family intact, but their Rick left some time ago - which is why this Beth often says "please dont leave me again". And our Rick just settled in here.
Nope. Most of that is correct, you just had a mix-up, which I coincidentally read about earlier before seeing this. C137 IS the universe Beth and Diane died, and since the other Ricks know his origin he's known as ''Rick of Dimension C137''. The universe where the pilot started is known as the Prime/Cronenberg dimension, prime meaning main, to differentiate them. It's all complicated but really interesting. Hope this helped
@@anonymoususer2967Yea. Its explained like you day it in the next season. Rick is C137...but Morty's universe never had a name. Rick, Jerry and Morty come from seperate universes and the only people from a shared one would be Beth, Space Beth and Summer.

in some realities, Beth didn’t die, and our Rick moved in with them.
This tops the season 2 finale for the best finale of the show for me. I love how they were actually able to deliver Rick's backstory without dwelling on it too heavily or letting it completely turn the show on its head. It fits our expectations but is still exciting, and there's still room to do more with it in the future if they want to.
I like how you see so many "Themed Ricks" in the Citadel and you kind of think they're weird and wonder how they ended up that way. Then we get to see our Rick just decide to become Crow Rick and he was much happier that way. I guess you could say it was foreshadowed that Ricks have a tendency to become obsessed with themes and make it their entire personality. Even Farmer Rick admitted it was all an act and he started out as a normal Rick.
We should just appreciate that a morty outsmarted millions of Rick's + the rickest rick and created his own portal gun!

@@Thisguy0187 while true this doesn’t relate to this situation, he got control, scanned ricks brain since season 1 without Rick even knowing. He was 1 move ahead of Rick in every situation, this was well planned chess. Don’t even try to make it seem like he just got lucky with it as if it were a situation of Rick running out of ammo or something, when in reality Rick simply got outsmarted.

This is what I have been waiting for. Every single episode you have wanted more lore, and everytime you said it I thought of this episode.
This episode still gives me goosebumps. When you paused the episode and said ' this is the episode' i genuinely couldnt stop smiling.
Even the season 6 pemiere is a lore episode, so this man’s in for a ride considering how badly he wanted lore episodes
All you need to understands is Evil Morty is just tired of Rick's bullshit. And he did all that just to escape from Ricks and Sheep Mortys. Thus freeing himself from Rick's grasp and just be free.
Beth did die in the explosion that killed Diane, but in a moment of intense drunkenness, depression, and weakness, he crashed into the garage of season 1 Beth and Jerry in a universe where Beth had been abandoned by her Rick (you probably already know this but we get to see more about what universe that was soon) and he stuck around becoming a part of her life again
Rick built the curve to trap the Rick that killed his wife in
Evil Morty left the curve so he could escape Rick and find universes where's he's not the smartest man
And the first antagonist of this series won, he beat Rick
Beth and Diane died at the same time but Prime Rick destroyed Diane from all possible universes, so we can see Beth but not Diane.

So just a lil explanation of my interpretation of things. There are basically three types of Rick’s (and two of those might be exclusive to individuals or might not be. Not entirely sure) you have Rick prime who we see offer the inter-dimensional portal gun to our Rick, who we can understand as some sort of simple Rick(the one from the factory who cares about family.), and finally, what seems to be the general majority of Ricks, Ricks who after being approached by Rick Prime(who may or may not be just an individual or a group of Rick primes) accept the portal gun and abandon their families. We can assume this is the majority because when our Rick says he passes on the portal gun to Rick prime, he gets the response, “excuse me? Ricks don’t pass on this…”. Also the general acceptance of other Ricks having families. Now as far as if there are more Ricks like our own with this vendetta against Rick prime(s?), we can’t really be sure, but our Rick seems to be fairly alone in his history of mass Rick murder sprees.

@ Don Townsend Okay bruv so what happened is that evil Morty isolated all of the universes where the ricks were the smartest man in the universe and broke the wall that held him in that group of the universe's so now he is in all the universes where Rick is not the smartest were rick probably doesn't even exist where he never lived just normal universes with no ricks and what Rick did is that he went to a universe where he had abandoned Beth and his wife and his wife I believe probably past of natural causes leaving Beth alone as an adult so he set up shop in that universe
