The most spectacular bus route in the world - Scania bus drives the Stelvio Pass

When Swiss bus driver Walter Burch retired five years ago, he was offered the job of his life. Twice a week, he drives a purpose-built Scania Interlink over the Alps at almost 3,000 metres on one of the world’s most spectacular and demanding bus routes, the Stelvio Pass.

probably none of those who watch the video could ever imagine how these roads were 70 years ago: in fact between 1940 and 1956 in these same places there was a trolleybus system that operated orange trolleytrucks (together with trolleybuses) used to carry of materials to the dams under construction higher up.
That system was also the longest trolleybus line of the world in those days
Unfortunately this system, called the "filovia dello stelvio" , has been almost completely forgotten and there are very few testimonies of it(and no trolleybus/trolleytruck survive)
