    Hi. I'm looking to get an automatic drive car for my mom in the range of 6-7 lakhs. I'm interested in this, but like you mentioned, the jerky AMT is an issue. So, I would like to ask you some questions like: (1) whether you would recommend getting it for my mom, (2) do you know if there's any plans by Maruti to use the (even slightly) better quality transmission in this car from next year, (3) would you suggest to go for Tiago, which also has the same AMT kind of automatic transmission, so I guess the same jerky AMT issue will be present in that too, or not, etc

    • @91Wheels
      @91Wheels  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Prashant
      1) Ignis is a great car for female drivers as getting in / out is better than other hatchbacks, plus slighter higher seating
      2) As we understand, Maruti keeps updating their cars / tech with feedback. But this AMT issue has been there for years now.
      3) Tiago is a great car but if you really want a smoother experience, see the Grand i10 Sportz AT once - its a proper torque converter.

    • @PrashantSaikia
      @PrashantSaikia 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@91Wheels Thanks for the reply. The problem with Grand i10 Nios AMT is the price. My on road budget is max 7L, while the cheapest AMT variant of i10 (Magna) costs about 7.5L, on road. So, its kind of out of budget. Besides, given the kind of features, headroom, wheel size, etc in Ignis vs i10, I feel Ignis is the better buy. What do you think? If you have any other options in mind in this range, apart from Ignis, Tiago and i10, then please do let me know. Thanks!
      P.S. By the way, 90-95% of the driving will be in city, hardly 5-10% on highway.

      One will get 15 inch alloys, 7 inch touch music system, push button start, auto foldable orvm, key less entry, chrome interior, one touch down driver side glass, fog lamps. That too at a extra exshowroom price of 24000 approx. I think Aplha is not value for money variant.

      Nishant, given the strong points of handling in traffic, funky interiors and a smooth peppy motor, it's still worth it. Celerio and Tiago are nice but drive the ignis back to back and you will love the 4 cylinder motor
