    As a guest of US Civil rights Organizer , Charles Cobb Jr. Kenya's Independence VP Oginga Odinga was once arrested in Atlanta while in Atlanta protesting against Black discrimination together with 17 other SNCC students .

Gerald Otieno Kanjwang, Ndolo Ayah, Ochieng Oneko, Njeru Githae were there too, but we were focused on Jaramogi. Later my classmate, Wachira Kiboi and I, visited him at this Bondo home on our weekend outing. At UoN, Wachira and I saw him every week at AGIP House. We were also leaders in SONU and youth leaders in Ford Kenya. Jaramogi was a statesman and a Kenyan patriot.

    Kenya's independence constitution was partly written by first US Black Chief Justice Thurgood Marshall who was friends with Kenya Nationalists Jomo Kenyatta, Oginga Odinga and Tom Mboya .
    Tom Mboya was a Keynote speaker at the March in Washington in 1963 and close friends of Dr. Martin Luther King, Harry Belafonte ,Andrew Young, Sidney Poitier, Ralph Abernathy and other black civil rights leaders .
    The Kenyan Nationalists and US Black Civil rights leaders set up resources to help educate Black Kenyans denied higher education opportunities by white before Independence in 1963 .
    Hence Obama father to Harvard .

    Jaramogi’s family did a wonderful job of preserving his history and that of Kenya. After his death his homestead become a museum. Even more alive than a US presidential library bcoz it also shows family. I think this is the best museum / memorial of any African leader to-date.

    The Luo are among the most intelligent people in Kenya; the Luo are the most academically accomplished tribe in Kenya.

      @@kajeffa Yes. The Kikuyu are street smart, which is why they have always outwitted the Luo when it comes to the politics of winning elections and governing,, but when it comes to academics, Luo all the way.

      Case in point: Do you remember how Jaramogi insisted that Kenyatta be released from detention only for Kenyatta to come out and then betray Jaramogi? Then there was Mboya, Ouko, etc. Luo always outwitted.

      @kajeffa 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @user-ts6wr1un8g I can't say no to the street smart nature of Kikuyus. And politically they it ain't that they are smart but it goes down to numbers and tribal case. On the other hand, having LUOS being vocal doesn't mean they are better bookwarmers. There are tribes which have survived in government even if they vote in both opposition and in government.
      Statistically you will be astonished to see kisiis in very major professions that is Lawyers, Doctors, Lecturers, Accounting and IT. Moreso they alelways are in government either they oppose or join it.
      When It comes to entrepreneurial case, they are there just behind Kikuyus.
      Do they have a leader? NO. They know how to coexist in both scenarios without creating scenes.
