I love my original Halo but since I tend to leave it set one way, all the time, I do forget how to use it and need to relearn when I want to change things. I can appreciate what the Core delivers. Very straight forward and self explanatory.
So cool Shawn! Glad they added dotted 1/8 to this version. I liked the core way better live (not tempted to stand with my foot stuck to a mini exp pedal). I just got to performing quicker and taking less during the song
Hey Shawn! Beautiful chord progressions and man.. I now have Gas. 😂. Bob does really nice work. I will prob be picking one of these up. 👍 very nice. As always, your demos are fabulous
This pedal is really all I would need. Guthrie T got one from Keely and loves it. The original was a little too much for him. Great demo btw, very informative.
I’m sorry Shawn, I know this is a gear demo, but I simply adore your ‘cinematic’ pieces and couldn’t care less what gear you’re using. That opening chord progression is hauntingly beautiful. Truly. And yes, of course I’m joking about the gear- the Halo Core is almost as awesome! 😄
Beautiful demo. I love that double delay thing that Andy does. The main delay on my Line6 HXFX is a faux version of this, stealing some settings that John Cordy came up with.
Shawn I would buy an instrumental album like that intro piece. Kind of reminds me of a solo album by Neal Schon in 1995 titled "Beyond The Thunder". The Halo is an ambient players dream pedal.
By the time I found out about the Core, the first 300 run had been sold. Then dozens of them started showing up on Reverb at a higher price than the original price and even the full Halo.
It sounds fantastic but I’m not sure having dual use controls is the best design decision. If you set the level then go into the secondary control to adjust saturation, what you see on the dial now is not your level. It would have been better to have additional dials or dual concentric ones like Boss.
I am not aware of any MIDI control on the original Halo. The manual, at least, makes no mention. I'm looking at the pedal (I own it), no USB or MIDI port...
@@WTC_2U You are correct. I was speaking in general terms and didn’t mean to insinuate that the original Halo was midi compatible. Sorry for the confusion.
I don't think the original has MIDI, that's my main gripe of it and the UAFX stuff. I wish Keeley would do a full MIDI version of this and maybe the Hydra, for those of us who use a MIDI switcher.
@@ShawnTubbs No problem man. There is surprisingly little with MIDI support, which strikes me as strange since delay and reverb are usually digital anyway so why not allow setting their parameters or presets via MIDI, especially since these boxes have so many wonderful different sounds in them.
Are you seriously gonna pay tjis man $500 for a fucking delay.NOTICE HOW PRICES ARE RISING WITH EACH NEW RELEASE.STOP PAYING IT AND THEY WILL STOP CHARGING IT....WAKE UP.
That intro was gorgeous, simply gorgeous. Those chord structures were brilliant. What a player..
Thanks very much!

You’re very welcome. Such a pleasure.

precisely the same reason why I have ordered the core. Great move by Robert Keeley
Same here…
Same thing for me too! Great demo in the video! Shawn is awesome!
That was such a great opening song!!! pure magic!
Thank you!
Great demo Shawn. I like the simplicity for sure. I could see myself digging this one. 👌
Thanks, Jason! Yeah, that delay is really easy to dial in.
@ a great sounding one for sure! 👍 great playing as always as well. 👌
what a tune in the intro!! Bravo!!
Sounds great! Mine arrived Monday to sit beside the full Halo on my board
some of the best sounds heard on this channel. nice voicing and playing too, you seemed inspired by the pedal
Thanks very much! That delay is very inspiring.
@@ShawnTubbs ordered last night despite having the Halo already.

“Tweaking less”, that is..
Yeah, I get it. Less tweaking, more playing.
Incredible intro Shawn sounds beautiful!!! Love the original Halo pedal and this one sounds just as incredible! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words!
Beautiful tune and sounds Shawn! Pedal sounds fantastic! Room looks amazing as well. Great video.
Thanks so much Chris!
Fantastic sounding delay. Sounding great as always Shawn!
Thanks so much!!

You’re an inspiration Shawn! Thank you 🙏
I appreciate that!
You are such a great musician...love your playing.

Guthrie is awesome!
This one is good. Keeley did fantastic on it.
What a beautiful progression and melody. Nashville witchcraft at it's finest, great sounding pedal too. RK makes great stuff.
Thanks so much!!
Great playing and excellent demonstration of a delay pedal.
Thanks!!
Sublime pedal, exquisite demonstrator. Love my Halo. Will probably get a Core, too!
Thanks so much!
The intro is ethereal, great stuff Mr. Tubbs.
Thanks!!
Beautiful song Shawn , you have to make a new album , great demo and playing as always !
Omg, your playing is so cool. And that sound!
You're very kind thanks. That delay pedal is inspiring.
What an intro! I gotta say it - Just like a good simple tube amp - straightforward pedals are fantastic
Thanks! Yeah, less tweaking more playing.
Beautiful song, Shawn. Thanks for the sounds and the demo!
Thanks so much!
Just great playing my friend.
Thanks so much, Matt.
Boy that sure sounds nice.

Sounds so good when you play it I want one even though I have two of the original 😂.

Thanks so much! Neal Schon is a killer player.
Thursday morning Keeley Halo Core release! 👍🏼😊
Killer intro!
Thanks!!
Cool. Definitely more point-and-shoot. Great for live stuff I’d say. 👍
Yup! Thanks for watching!
beautiful music !
Thanks for listening
Gorgeous sounds!
Already have a Halo love it … do see a core in my horizon
Right on! Thanks for watching!
Suddenly I need another Delay pedal .... 🙂
Great demo and demo music Shawn! Such a great sounding delay pedal isn't it?
Thanks! Yeah, it's a really good-sounding delay pedal.
Great sounds nice composition. What is the Overdrive Pedal being used?
Thanks very much! That OD was my Keeley Super AT Mod.
Great démo like always! Its a limited édition.
Understand from Keeley they are making this a regular production pedal now.
Less is more indeed, but it is great that it has the stereo in/out and tap tempo. I would not need anything more... Thanks Shawn!
Thanks so much for watching!

love the big retro knobs…wonder if thats the only reason they made it a bigger box??
The bigger control knobs are easier to get at with your feet.
@@ShawnTubbs👍beautiful demo composition as usual too, brother.
Are they going to release this officially! I’ve checked the Keeley website and I can’t find it??
It’s there too all of 15 seconds to locate it under delay/reverb
It’s on there.
It's there. Thanks for watching!

TUBBs !! 🙂🙂🙂
Great Demo. 🙂
Wish they were available. always out of stock
What amp are you using here? Sounds great by itself!
Thanks! I used a Friedman DS 40.
Great video, which Pickups are u using on this Gtr?
Thanks! Suhr ML singles and Suhr SSV bridge.
Keeley 🤤
I don't think I've heard 1 Suhr Srat HSS sound anything but f*&£*! awesome! Goes to look in wallet...
Did you ever try a pine Strat? Thoughts?
I have. I think they sound great and you can't go wrong with the weight.

Halo does midi?
No, it doesn't.
... but can it stop an incoming 8-warhead Russian ICBM?
Eventide H3000?
no.. more is more great tone btw!

$500?
Dont feed the troll. He's trolling on every video now. It's 250,not 500.
