Hello there! I work at a animal conservation sanctuary for critically endangered species. I’m currently hand raising two cotton top twins in the on site clinic after parents rejected them. They are doing very well. But I want to try a couple of unique training techniques with them. Do you think using a small bell could work with them in teaching them how to ask for things? Would I go about teaching them to use it by starting with using repetition of sound with the bell each time I give them food? I’m doing this blindly as I haven’t worked this technique with primates before but have had success with other species. Anyway, this is a great video. They are such a unique and amazing species and are highly intelligent.
The Majestic Cottontop Tamarin is just doing that to make her happy and to eat of course.. Otherwise they are extremely smart people probably will be laughing and discussing this phenomenon with their fellow tamarins using their own language which has a proper grammar with (at least) 38 types of vocalizations… I just Jove them 😊❤️🥺 Oh by the way, they are the only other people, so far we know, who can whisper! 😃
