can deoxit be used to clean the heads and the rubber pinch rollers?

I have never used it, but since it also contains a lubricant, I do not recommend using it. However, isopropyl alcohol is perfect for this purpose.

The metal headplate slides on 3 tiny steel balls, did you put them back ;-)

You may be right, this video was made about 3 years ago, if I remember correctly, a bullet fell out, which I later put back outside of the video.

hi, i've got the same model, but EJECT button not working, so I dissembled the door. Then realised something wrong with the mechanism as the capstan and pinch roller is stuck in PLAY position, so I can't put the cassette onto the wheels. Any clue? Also, I have no idea how to put the door back into position. Please advise.

Hi, the head gets stuck because the capstan drive belt is weak and slips. Replace the belts. And you can turn the mechanics to the default position by hand by the flywheel.

@@lenco5994 Based on the video, I think it can be done, you don't have to take out the head and capstan either, you just change the belt. You remove the front panel, then you take out the mechanics. On the back of the mechanism, you unscrew the motor support plate, the belt is underneath and you can replace it.

@@retrodeck1956 i tried to pull out the components, but not successful. do i need to unplug the flat cable and desolder those wires?

@@lenco5994 The back of the mechanism is quite difficult to come off, but it can be done without soldering the wires, carefully.
