Really interesting stuff on Demko. I was considering him this year but even if he is able to play on at a high level I’m not going to take the risk with a lingering injury on a goaltender.
@@brysoncoy9043 I mostly agree, but Hughes has been pretty fragile(guy is 5' 11"/175 lbs) for the best part of his career and the price tag is a late 1st rd pick....there are players with much less risk, with similar upside at this point in the draft.
Risk is directly related to draft position. Getting Sorokin in rd 6 is great risk reward value vs getting him in rd 4. That being said, all goalies are pretty much a risk / reward prop. I don’t see any risk in Zegras as he’s likely on your waiver wire in all standard 12 team leagues or drafted as a last round flyer.
30th Like Smashed, that is the comment, mucho gratitude for your great content, Fantasy Puck. I love these picks and will employ them in my (risk on) Drafts, particularly Sorokin
I drafted Woll in Rd 9. Sorokin went in rd 14 Last year I went away from my normal strategy of drafting Goalies late. I took Sorokn in rd 3 last year and had an awful season. Never again! Although taking him in rd 13 this year would’ve made a ton of sense. You can’t just be done with players lol Last year: Maker rd 1. Tage Thompson Rd 2 Sorokin Rd 3 Stutzle I thought I had the best team ever 😂
So in all your research you didn't come across Edmonton Oilers 23/24 season where Mcdavid scored 40 goals and Draistal 51 and Hyman 70. You gotta add one more team to your list.
I would just closely follow training camp lines, and pre-season game lines. In most leagues Hutson will go undrafted, and will be available on waivers until he cements a position for himself.
Last time Forsberg had a monster season in 2022 and his ADP rose in 2023. He disappointed. He's seems like the guy to bet on when his ADP is lower. He also never plays big minutes and yet still gets injured a lot. ADP of 20 is a joke.
Forsberg is great and is likely to have a great year. I dont expect marchessault or stamkos to have the seasons they had last year. Three 30 goal scorers? I think thats almost a lock. Nyqvist who had 23 goals 73 points last year at age 35 is likely to lose points. Woll will be gettable in the last round in any pool not flooded with leaf fans. Hamilton I don't think will have a massive season but that said Im guessing 60 points seems very reachable. Hamilton is a complete defenseman and hughes is a defensive disaster. Of course Hamilton will be the first defenseman. Sorokin was great last year playing on what was the second worst defensive team in the league last year. Islanders are terrible though. Even if they commit to playing better defense this is not a playoff team. Sorokin is great but his stats probably wont be. Andersen in Carolina, if he stays healthy probably is the 1A in a much better, still much more defensively responsible playoff team in carolina. Again you get this guy in the last round. I like Tage Thompson to bounce back. Letting someone else win their pool with Zegras.

You guys never miss! Content has been incredible this year, keep it up!!
Real I love this channel

Jack Hughes, Jack Eichel, Brad Marchand, Andrei Svechnikov, Tage Thompson and Connor Bedard are all big risk/big reward players
Hughes is pretty safe

I took Dougie Hamilton with the 70th pick in my league… I have all fingers and toes crossed he can be healthy this year.
We love Dougie this year!

Exactly what I was looking for 🙌🏼
We got you 🤝

Appreciate the love man!
Rather risk Silovs later on than Demko at 53

Last year:
Maker rd 1.
Tage Thompson Rd 2
Sorokin Rd 3
Stutzle
I thought I had the best team ever 😂
F. Forsberg's adp is insanely early imo.
So two of my goalies in Sorokin and Woll are high risk, that’s cause for concern already 😂

If I draft Mike Matheson, should I draft Lane Hutson also in case MTL put him in PP1?
I would just closely follow training camp lines, and pre-season game lines. In most leagues Hutson will go undrafted, and will be available on waivers until he cements a position for himself.
@@soaring_ostrich Hutson was drafted in round 13 in my league
Mark stone number one but he’s always hurt

Snagged sway at 54 and Demko 107 am I cooked
Laine

Zegras is all reward 🤩
He's a bust
