My father was a Met Policeman who met Gerry and other Glitter Band members during a charity event promoting road safety. Dad had no time for showbiz usually, but said what a nice genuine bunch of blokes they all were. BTW I now own the black Schecter Tele guitar Gerry is playing at 1min 32sec.
Gerry was such a talented guitar player. Songwriter, singer. Gerry would be in my top 10 of guitarist. So sad he was taken to soon. Still love listening to the GB's music. RIP GERRY 😧❤❤
I went to school with Gerry (Tulse Hill) , and we played in the same band at 15 years old , I was the drummer and he was of course the Lead guitarist and a fantastic player even at that age. RIP.
WOW really so nice to meet someone else that knew him - i was friends with all the band - so many times i was invited back stage after a concert - great memories
Reliving my teenage years, Glitter Band was my favorite loved them all. Gerry was my favorite. Still listen to their music, fav songs is Alone Again and Angel Face. RIP Gerry, Thanks for the memories
What a great tribute to the talented Gerry Shephard. Great memories of the 70's and some fine bands. Wonderful pics of Gerry, he left us far too soon. Thanks for taking the time to post.
Great song and many more, caught the Glitter Band in Snobs Nightclub Birmingham, very, very good live . When I was a little boy I was always obsessed with his silver star shaped guitar "would buy it now if I could"
Gerry was a really sweet guy , I was lucky enough to the fan , that meet them in Sydney Australia, I am happy to report only the other day I heard his voice blaring out of the a radio store pa system , a great musician that left as far to soon rip Gerry.
+Arthur Grocott I am sure it was just called Oxendale/Shepard, named after Peter Oxendale and Gerry Shepard, it was a late 1970s recording. I have it somewhere and it has some really good songs on it. I remember Gerry playing some really good Lead Guitar work as well.
The Glitter Band Band don't deserve to be tarred with the same brush just because they were his backing Band at one time - they were an excellent Band in their own right. RIP Gerry Shephard🌠
When I was 15 I was in Sydney I saw them when they came to Australia . I was up the front and had my hands on the stage. I was a big fan ! and when I was 17 in London in 1975 my sister and I met Gerry Shepard and his friend in a pub and for some ungodly reason we went back to Gerrys house . I don’t know why we went because there’s no way we were going to have sex with anybody. I think we were just curious to see his house . anyway they offered us a joint and we left! RIP Gerry xxx
red carpet, lights, fast cars, all a singer wanna be, wasn't enough for Old Gary! too sad! he ended this way, his lasts years in prison! so sad! I Hope things will workout for the G's Great band. Two set of drums, two saxs Good guitars Good Vocals. What Else!!!

He is doing what he wanted. Playing songs in Heaven, singing songs in Heaven as well. Alongside his family and mates.
I choose to ignore the evil that tainted this band 🙌🏻🎶🙌🏻
I couldn't agree more The Glitter Bands reputation/name shouldn't be stained because of Paul Gadd and what he is/what he did!!!
@Gillian Kingston even though they knew what he was doing ..disgusting
