Created by Doug Tennapel he got a show and is now in comics and now he's getting another series and Sega even wanted him to make a movie recently with him after Sonic came out last year. It would be cool if that happens.
I would love to see him make a reference to earthworm 3D, when earthworm 3 tried to go into the N64 erra (it was a very trash game, because another company made it for cash grab). Something like, "so I know I'm in 3D, but I promise this won't be like last time".

You see back in the 90's Earthworm Jim was a bit wacko, had a anthro puppy sidekick that becomes a monster when he's hurt, had a slime pet, fell in love with a princess bee women (of which she doesn't love jim) and of course fights against villains. But these villains were a bit weird even in the 90's: An angry mutated cat that has teeth and tail of a rat that spit hairball acid, a wicked professor who has a monkey fused on his head literaly, a crow from space who doesn't even look like a crow, and even an evil version of Jim who's twice as crazy, Only that Space Queen who wants that powersuit of jim was the only character that looked like a serious villain besides a big fat ass of course. Plus in the origin of 90's earthworm jim he was just a worm that obtained that power suit that fell from the (....) sky!!! I've seeing some episodes of 90's earthworm jim and i'll be honest: it was fun to watch as a kid in the 90's because it wasn't needed to make senses of every episodes back in the 90's, only to be funny. How-be-it in this case for this new animated series, the original creator is not involved at all, this series is being handled by a new creative team by Interplay Entertainment who bought Shiny Entertainment (the original ewj dev team) back in 1995.

The original series has funny humor and characters and it resembled so much from video game. They better add Peter Puppy to the series its going to be lame.
The fact that there is now a girl earthworm in a super suit and a kid worm in a super suit is already a red flag. Professor Monkey-for-a-Head only made ONE super suit. The whole plot of the first game (not to mention the series) was about Psychrow and the Prof. trying to get the suit back for Queen Slug-for-a-Butt. And for that matter, where's Princess What's-Her-Name?
