He, ronaldo didn't rest at all and still played the WC with pain. Since then he played as a striker, Best striker their has ever been. After Madrid he went to juve who just sold their key players. He saved their asses many times but still people blamed him. His 3 seasons at juventus are too underrated!!! After that he went to Manchester back and saved them European football still he got all the blame. No matter what he does the media will still attack him and find a way to discredit his achievement. Factos. Although he didn't even underperform in the World Cup. He had good and decisive games vs Ghana and Uruguay, then vs South Korea the whole team was fairly poor including him. After that, Santos benched him unjustly. That Switzerland game and Ramos hat trick was a one-off and the stats proved it. Cristiano Ronaldo's season has been disastrous so far compared to the last one, but it's quite normal considering what he's been through. Ronaldo have been so good at goal scoring that the other things he does like link up plays,small playmaking and other things are often overlooked. Everyone expects the numbers and they don’t even see the other things he does.
You can see in his movements with united at the start of this season that he was off the pace. When he first joined Al Nassr he looked back to normal, rejuvenated. Nothing to do with the quality of the league, you could see it in his movement. Now he's playing every game for Al Nassr and it's showing.

He does all the things a striker should do....this season it was just lack of confidence i guess. The pressure from the media, constant benching from the start of the season resulted in him being sloppy at moments. He is a kind of player for whom game time or playing matches on a daily basis makes him better and more accurate. Ten hag didn't realise it and wanted to boss over him. Both their egos were a major contribution for his bad individual season.

He is not as good as he was but he still has a lot in him. He was playing really well a few months ago but this season he is lacking confidence. His link up play and off the ball movement is still top notch. His driblling, playmaking , passing and pace has decreased but he still has enough quality to play at top level. He knows his strengths and he doesn't over try . He knows that he isn't a dribbler or playmaker anymore so he just does what he can but people say that Ronaldo can't accept that he is not good anymore. I know he will back to normal in a new team and good environment. He will forever be my goat no matter what the others say. I started watching football because of Ronaldo and i will support him forever. Even I am man utd fan but i will always support him
