@@PhilTriviayou don’t have to update anything. Wag kang maniwala sa mga nagcocomment na di nila alam ang sinasabi. The structure of St. Guillermo Church was destroyed in 1880 and was only rebuilt in 1886. So it means, the current structure of St. Guillermo Church in Bacolor, Pampanga is only 138 years old
@GOYONGGIJOE St. Guillermo Church was built in 1576 but it was destroyed by a earthquake in 1880 and rebuilt in 1886. So it means that the current St. Guillermo Church is only 138 years old.
Very WRONG information. Basilica Minore del Santo Nino is the first church ever established in the Philippines in 1525 after the second attempt by the Spaniards to “Christianize” the country. It is a very busy place having both regular worshippers and tourists alike visiting daily. Right next door you can also find Magellan’s Cross.
Quiapo church was destroyed by fire in 1929 and rebuilt in 1933. So the current Quiapo church is only 91 years old. So it means hindi sya kabilang sa mga oldest churches. Siguro matanda na ang parish o ang parokya pero ang structure ng simbahan kasi binabasehan ng “oldest church”
The oldest church in the Philippines is St.Guillermo Church built 1576/ Augustinian Friars. Yours wrong.
Well, I guess I need to update my facts! Thanks for keeping me on my toes.
