Edit: He's joining Redbull so maybe not Glad Jarno is pushing his team to get better at strategy, the team has to be on point in esports. League Racing is the best practice for this. Jarno's team needs to get the strategy right this year if he wants to win, other teams are doing better on strategy and in a game where everyone's this close together you really need to be on it at all times.

A simple version would literally just be a heatmap of the race up to that point, and apply a grip loss factor to the edges of the heat map to represent the feel of marbles and a graphic on the tarmac. If they wanted to do it well, they could match tire wear to a "marbling factor", and just have cars slowly dropping marbles at all times over the course of the race. Its not rocket science, and its not an indie dev.
the strategy issue LITERALLY happens in real F1 with Mercedes. People that get annoyed at you being upset probably have not competed at a high level in anything. its the same with LH irl, people think its a sunday drive.

The team needs to step up their game, if you have to box 3 laps later so be it, with your pace and some ERS you will make that up 9 times out of 10. When your in a DRS train its 3/4 out of 10 the odds are better with your strategy!

I hope there's more a 100% race even in the f1 esports itself. Rather than this where there's so little strategy options that too many people doing same strategy, doing drs train again. Where in 100% race anything could happen. Even you did a mistake in first half of the race, there's still a chance to do something. And you can see better the tire management skill of each driver with their own strategies.

In the same respect, a 21st person should be able to enter a lobby as a 'race director'. Adding and removing penalties as they see fit. It would make tyre usage in quali actually matter again. It would remove stupid penalties because the game is broken from mattering.
It's even more frustrating when your P2 or P3 with two laps to go and you make a move, lose two or three tenths. It basically ruins your chance of making a late overtake. Because of the marbles i have to make my move way earlier just in case it screws me at least then i have a chance to recover! 😢
You need the real goat as your engineer again, bring back JD! Its the only way you can become a champ in F124, the level among drivers is wild and having JD by your side can make a big diference

What are these engineers making their decisions based off, that call ruined your chances of the win. They’re useful for ERS levels and tire wear, but strategy wise , you need to call the shots, better results in the past and more entertaining for us when your making the calls. As a relative new player on the F1 games the marbles already suck so its not like its only a problem for the pros, i do not know where the AI racing line is unless i turn on the full racing line which i would like not to to properly learn breaking from reference points. But if I turn it off now i get so many marbles that my breaking points are not representative anyway because the grip is so inconsistent
Tyres use by racecars wear really fast and little clumps of rubber get shot off on the outside of the corners. If you run over them they stick to the tyres and create an uneven surface and you will have less grip untill they will wear off.
