In that first attempt, the reason the civil war happened was because of the Ostwell crisis (I don’t think that’s the actual name but I don’t remember it) Basically a group of Wehrmacht officers were afraid of Hitler bringing Germany into a war that they couldn’t win, and the height of the crisis was in the Munich Conference as if the allies refused to abandon Czechoslovakia, they would be brought into a war that they couldn’t win against the allies. This never happened in real life, as the allies accepted and Czechoslovakia was annexed without violence. In your game however, since you rejected, the officers rose up against Hitler because like I said before, he brought them into a war they couldn’t win.
