JAUNDICE CLARIFICATION: me expressing my concerns were just that, she was checked before we left and discharged because levels weren’t high enough for concern. We just never even had been told our numbers with rocky so it scared us! We kept her by windows and checked her the next day and the doctor still didn’t even retest her because he wasn’t concerned at all. Just two worried parents for no reason 🙃 I know jaundice is a big deal and would never have just left her if it was of big concern 🤎
You give me so much inspiration for when I have my next baby 🤍 I had a rough experience postpartum w/ baby blues & the transition into motherhood the first few weeks with my first baby and that’s how I first found you since we had a similar experience! Seeing that the transition with baby number 2 has been so much smoother for you gives me so much peace for when we add another. Sweet Ekko is a perfect little addition to your family 🤍

I never wanted 2 under 2 but here I am! Baby #1 just turned 1 and I just found out I'm pregnant with #2 😅 it really comforting to see Rocky be a rockstar brother and to know your second recovery has been going better. Thanks so much for sharing and congratulations on your sweet baby girl ❤️

We took our newborn to the chiropractor a couple months ago because her head/neck preference was affecting her eating. It seemed to help a lot and we only went 3 times! Also, I'm SO glad that postpartum is better for you this time. You look beautiful and so happy. Hope you can get over the cough soon and get some good rest! :)

I noticed in some of your pictures that her head was turned to the side in most of them and I wanted to tell you that my son did the exact same thing!!
He turned his head the same way while sleeping and even laying on his tummy he always had his head to the side and he ended up with a flat spot on that side and I was worried his neck was tight or whatever, but now he is 6 months and the more tummy time we did the better it got and now the flat spot is almost completely gone! So definitely nothing to be concerned about , it just takes time ❤️

I have never experienced a “letdown” sensation while nursing! And also have had breast tissue go to my arm pit -legit woke up with a goose egg up there in my first few weeks 😅😂

Hi! Just wanted to let you know you’re not alone when it comes to not feeling a let down, I pretty much exclusively nursed my daughter for a year (we just weaned) and I actually never felt a let down.
Same for me 🥰 nursed my little guy for 18 months and also never felt a let down

When I had my baby last April he was high intermediate for jaundice. they said it was ok and sent us home but I noticed everyday he was really yellow and even at his doctors apt they said he was ok but I felt he wasn’t so I took him to be seen at the ED and he was admitted. they said if I waited any longer he would’ve needed a blood transfusion. especially with you being asian your kids have a higher risk with jaundice. i’d keep an eye on it and always do what feels right for your babies you are their voice.
Trust me I was and it never got worse or came to a point that was concerning 🤎 so glad you listened to your gut!!
Does a 2nd degree vs 3rd degree actually make a difference? Cause I had a 3rd & I can’t imagine that pain again! I’m sure you remember hardly even being able to get up & down or walk.

Hey so I had jaundice when I was little and my mom use to put me in a bassinet in front of the door or the window so the sunlight could hit me and it went away! Didn’t know if you have tried that yet!
We did this!! But to clarify she didn’t have jaundice we just were worried she did 🤎🤎
Hey my son had jaundice and we couldn’t leave the hospital. Well I’m sure u already were seen but yeah they made it a pretty big deal. Like it can cause some serious issues they said. Idk but hopefully Ekko is good! 🤍 love u guys! Beautiful family. Also adding I didn’t feel a let down for the first idk couple months? Like I didn’t notice it at first and then eventually I started having a let down and realizing what it was. I thought I was just getting the chills everytime I was nursing 😂😂😂
I should have clarified more! They checked her and let us go, she didn’t have levels that were concerning. We just never even got told our results with rocky so it made us worried! Ekko is good, she’s already been checked again and the doctor still had zero concerns 🤎
Yeah I figured u were seen or figured it out! I was so sad my baby had to be in the incubator with the lights 2 days in a row for like 12 hours each day, even more I think the first day 🥺 So glad Ekko is all good! She’s so cute and seems so chill! 🤍

And a dark complexion too..I just love watching Rocky with his Baby Sis..I'm so glad that everything is going better this time around thus far anyway..Rest while you can sweetie and don't overdue it, because you feel better.. i made that mistake with mine. With my second babe my breat tissue fell into my arm pit too!! Make sure in the shower when the water is hot you’re massaging your under arms too, it can pool in there and struggled to get back over which would cause mastitis

My 2nd bio baby is nearly seven months old now. His older brother is 10. With my first my letdown was super strong, milk would spray across the room if he came unlatched and my breast pads would be soaked if I went too long between feeds. With my 2nd I don’t even have to use breast pads because I have essentially no leakage, my letdown isn’t nearly as strong and my milk only squirts if I squeeze my boob. I know he is fed because he is huge and having plenty of wet/dirty diapers. I can also pump milk and know my production is sufficient.

My son is 20 months and they are exactly 19 months apart!
also jaundice peaks around a week old and leaves up through their head. keep her by the windows! I lived in AZ too and worked for banner post partum unit so that was a big help

The breastmilk trick works great I used it for my son he has eczema and at first we didn’t know so I would put it on his face and it helped it out.

For the tortecollis, do some research and find a chiropractor in your area that specializes in babies! I used to work at one. While I definitely think there is some “woo” in chiro for adults, the work she did on kids/babies was where I actually saw improvement. They don’t adjust/crack babies, they will do gentle muscle work and exercises. My 7mo is in a cranial helmet because of a flat spot and it could probably have been prevented if we’d gone to the chiro earlier than we did. Love this video! Thanks for the update🥰
I actually use to work for a chiropractor too and totally agree with all of this! There are so many ones that can really wreck you but if you find one that knows what they’re doing it’s game changing. Thank you for sharing + your sweet words!! 🤎

Obviously you know this, but coming from a NICU nurse, maybe you can get a quicker appointment if your pediatrician knows she’s jaundice?! High levels are so dangerous for the brain. Sometimes they can just give you a blanket you can use at home to help get her levels down :) she’s so cute!!
They weren’t worried as much as I was and we ended up seeing him the next day and he wasn’t even worried the slightest!! Totally would have seen someone sooner if I thought it was really bad but she was just a bit more yellow in the eyes then rocky was so we weren’t sure 🤎

I had the exact same thing happen with my second (currently 2 months postpartum also hve a 2.5yr old). I noticed I wasn’t having much of a crazy let down or that feeling where your boobs tingle but that changed after maybe around the 3-4 week mark!
I’ve noticed more of a let down within the last few days, it’s just not as consistent!! So weird!

STM who also just has her second baby on 3/30! I also had a really intense letdown with my first and this time around, it’s there but definitely wayyyyy less uncomfortable and obvious feeling.

My third baby has been an amazing sleeper since birth! Fingers crossed the girl just loves her sleep🤞🏻You have milk ducts by your armpits so those bumps are totally normal if they go away after nursing. You look amazing Kilean! Best of luck in the weeks to come.
