What really distinguishes your builds from others is the use of mixed building materials and mixed pieces. Yes, sometimes there are times when a whole building works with just one building type, but what makes this one pop is the combination of T2&T3 mats from various sets. It creates a visually appealing building because it breaks up the monotony of just one type of mat. Well done! :)
I love watching small bits of it on 0.5x speed while you’re actually describing it. The voice algo that keeps your pitch makes it sound like you’re super drunk.
This is why I love this game so much I do more building on it than I do playing it and your videos give me so much inspiration to build more amazing stuff, love this build :)
I do enjoy listening to your narrative during the build process, it lets me understand your thought processes and why you made certain decisions. There are too many speed builds with no narration or explanations.
So I keep re-watching this build and all I can think about is how if I tried to build this on my roleplay server, and someone watched the process without me flying they would think I was absolutely insane lol
Dude this castle is awesome. I love the storm glass/ reinforced stone combo beautiful. I play on ps4 so the game is literally unplayable after the update but eventually once I can play. I hope you don't mind but I will be stealing this build to make it my new home on pve server 😁
Hi @I BARDEN I , I guess you use pillars and ceilings instead of foundations in order to stop the purge. My question is how does that effect performance? Meaning; with more pieces, does the base lag more than usual and/or take longer to render in?
Good question, their is not a notable difference when it comes to framerate and load in times. From my understanding though, using pillars/ ceiling pieces is better when it comes to server performance because too many foundations lag a server.
Im there witya bro! come on with the drop to xbox. we should have a testlive for xbox because the controller will need to be remapped or you will need to memorize that you must use B instead of Y to let go when climbing. And other changes. I did a video on twitch for my friends so they can see my struggle with my controller on PC.
If you start out with stone pillars they will prevent certain wall and window pieces from being placed, unless you have less restrictive building mods acrivated.
Dude, stop. Every time I think I build something cool, I come to your channel and realize mine looks like crap. xD lol joking. I love your builds. Always inspires me to do something better!
It enables me to be able to run pillars all the way to the ground when using the pillar trick. If your on a non modded server, foundations will obstruct the pillar placement.
The stonebrick pillars have a collision box that is too large and effects the placement of some building pieces. If someone is building without mods the stable pillar is a great utility piece because it is small enough to not effect any building placement. Once I got all the pieces I want placed, I can then go back and change out the stable pillars with the pillars I actually want to use.
The floorplan is accurate, I think the issue you are having is that your building off the spot where the imperfection is occurring. A good rule is that if their is an imperfection you normally want that to be the ending piece. Here is an asym castle tutorial that might help better explain it th-cam.com/video/EawxNSYoju4/w-d-xo.html
I also have a visual floorplan posted on my discord that also might help with explaining the points where the imperfections occur. If done right, you won't have any gaps.
For all those people willing to halve their HP and stamina in return for being able to cast extremely underpowered and stupid spells. Sweet digs, though.

Thank you! I am impressed at how well most of the different culture packs blend well with each other.

I wish I could do more narrated videos. Having a full time job drastically cuts into my TH-cam time o.O
Phenomenal build. Final product reminds me a little of solitude.
Incredible build! Also, great tutorial! Hope to see more castles/small village builds from you.
So I keep re-watching this build and all I can think about is how if I tried to build this on my roleplay server, and someone watched the process without me flying they would think I was absolutely insane lol
I thought you were already partially insane! Ha
You play Conan, you are insane
Lol building with the scaffolds?
Amazing tutorial as always, Barden!!

Steal away!
I found a love in using Turanian stuff for the floors and the gate door, i think it works pretty well with the arcane motif pieces

What he said. Foundations are limited to 10 on the server I play on due to the lag they cause. Ceilings is the way to go
Awesome
UGH the agony of waiting for it to launch on XBOX
I can't even imagine ha

Hot damn.... Man, I need to learn how to do modding so I can make a way to insert stuff like this into the game
What happens if your start out with the reinforced stone pillars instead of stable pillars? i don't have stable pillars.

I've been on a roll this month. Got another video coming within the next day or two ha.
Quick question: What's the reason for using pillars and ceilings for ground floor a opposed to foundations?
It enables me to be able to run pillars all the way to the ground when using the pillar trick. If your on a non modded server, foundations will obstruct the pillar placement.
@@DrB048 OK, thanks.
How do I get the arcane building pieces? Are they yet to release?
Early access beta, they were available then.
How did you get the battle pass to work for you? I'm in the test live client and it says unavailable
It was available during a closed early access beta.
Why do you start with stable pillars, then replace them with stone brick? Why not just start with stone brick?
The stonebrick pillars have a collision box that is too large and effects the placement of some building pieces. If someone is building without mods the stable pillar is a great utility piece because it is small enough to not effect any building placement. @@DrB048 huh. Thanks! I've always played with the LBPR mod, so this is stuff I never had to learn.
im so a symmetrical i need 2 walls to compensate XD
Your floor plan is flawed. It ends up with gaps. Apart from that the guide it's awesome.
