The lyrics are beautiful too. It is not a goodbye song. He wanted it to be a comfort song for all. He knows that we all deal with everything as he does too! Jay B wrote and composed this song and music! This song/lyrics just makes it all the more human and real which he really is. He really wanted us to know that he is always there for us no matter what. The song was composed and written for one of his closest friends who was struggling during a hard time. In the MV you can also see someone else at the end coming in to finding the recorded song on a cassette. It's trule so beautiful and heart warming, even more so when you know the meaning behind it.
If you look closely, is himself. When he woke up, he has the white shirt. Then, the whole song is hil in the blue shirt. And at the end, is him again in the white one, coming home from somewhere.
Honestly this song made me cry! The melody is beautifully composed, the accustic guitar is so moody, Jay B incredible smooth and soft voice and those pretty high notes.. Just amazing! 😢 Funny thing, that part of the melody you rewinded in the beginning, sounded "French" to me somehow. I think it was the use of the chords and how they were put together, it just reminded me of a score from some old French movie... Does that make sense? 😃
