Wrong information. The high speed rolling stocks operated in Hainan island are the special CR300AF (China Standardized EMU) and CRH1A-A (Bombardier Zefiro 250) with business class, not the CRH380A in this video.
@@ssss8162 Same seating configuration doesn’t mean they are the same train. But the similar interior probably represents similar onboard experience despite the speed.
InsideFlyer Netherlands, I am planning to go to Guangzhou next month from Hong Kong by train. It is my first time to China from HK. I have a few questions and will appreciate if you know and provide me with the answers. It is better to book the tickets in advance or better to book at the station in HK on the day of my departure? Where is the immigration on the China side? In which station or we have to go through all immigration procedures first before entering China in HK side? Thank you and appreciate if you are able to answer my questions.
Thanks for your questions! Please see for answers below. 1 We advise to book early prior to traveling to you’re sure to have a seat during busy times. 2 Immigration is on the HK side. So you need to allow sufficient time to pass security and border control. Reserve at least 2 hours for that. 3 For your return to HK, we’re not completely sure how that works. We alighted the train in Shenzhen. After our visit we took a taxi to cross the border back to HK. Hope this helps! And have a safe trip 🚆
The HSR in Hainan province is exactly the same train.
Thanks for adding that!
