    Liked the easy uncomplicated dress ups you did on solar. With our non stop NW Ohio wind, not spending a lot of money on lighting on the deck is perfect!

    Last year at dollar tree I found blue diamond jars similar to yours . Boy are they pretty with solar lights in them. I wish now that I had bought more of them. I just love the blue lights in the yard at night.

    I love EVERYTHING!!!
    Especially the lantern. I have a bouquet of 6 solar lights in a vase on the vanity in my bathroom. I can go to the bathroom at night without having to turn the lights on, I love it!
    Thanks for all the fun ideas. I'm now going to binge watch all your videos tonight. I'll probably wake up in the morning with my tablet stuck to my face.
    God bless you.

    What about spraying the bottom of the dowel rods with rubber coating (for cars.) Before sticking them in the ground? Called Rubberized rust encapsulater or rubberized undercoating. Comes in spray pain cans.

    These days Dollar Tree, 99 Cents Only, etc., have brooms and dust pans that have handles perfect for making tall solar lights - the lights sit right in the ends of them. Right now Dollar Tree sells a long black handle separately from attachments like mops, etc.

    Got any ideas on how to keep moisture from getting into jars

    • @ClutteredCorkBoard
      @ClutteredCorkBoard  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mary, I have tried gluing the lights onto jars in the past but that didn't keep moisture out for me. I don't know if silicone would work with better results or not. I chose to not use any kind of adhesive/sealer on my lantern and just take the light off of the jar every so often to empty it out if it does collect rain water/condensation etc.

  • @swe2cie
    @swe2cie 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    This might be a dumb question but could you put hot glue around the base of the light before you put it in the glass candle holder instead of the rubber band? I’m sure you already tried that and it probably didn’t work but I thought I’d ask but once the glue dries it gets kind of rubbery and I thought maybe I don’t know what do you think

    • @OnGuffeyHill
      @OnGuffeyHill 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think she mentioned that she doesn't mind the rubber and showing through the candle holder. She said hot glue will work. Use epoxy if you really want a permanent hold.
