- The first black woman to win the Academy Award Halle Berry is now one of the highest-paid actors in the Hollywood. She first got acknowledgment when played in the movie Boomerang along with Eddie Murphy. However, her career start wasn’t really easy. In 1989, Halle moved to NYC in search for opportunities to act. In some time, she ran out of money and had to live in a shelter for homeless.
Today, all these troubles are left behind, and Halle can enjoy her fame and worldwide recognition.
The star’s mother Judith Ann Hawkins worked as nurse in a psychiatric ward. There, she met her husband Jerome. When Halle was four, Judith broke up with her spouse. Since then she was bringing up the Catwoman star and her sister by her own.
Jerome Jesse Berry worked a hospital attendant, later - a bus driver. His Hollywood daughter accused him of being abusive and violently aggressive towards her mother. That’s why she never wanted to get in touch with him when grew up. The actress even refused to visit her father, when he was passing away.
Renee Berry is the Hollywood star’s half-sister from her father’s side. She was born before Jerome’s marriage to Judith. As children, Renee and Halle were close, but now the actress doesn’t want to maintain their relationship.
The Oscar-winning actress has only sister Heidi Henderson. Actually, the sisters have never been very close, even in the childhood, as their mom claims.
Halle Berry has been officially married for three times.
She married her first husband David Justice in 1993. David professionally plays baseball. The couple was together for four years. Halle remembers that the divorce was extremely stressful for her, and she needed much time to get it over.
Eric Benet became the second Berry’s husband. The R’n’B star and Halle were dating for 2 years before they secretly married in 2001. Unfortunately, Benet turned out to be a sex addict (he even underwent treatment in a rehab), and the couple separated in 2003.
The X-Men star was in relationship with Gabriel Aubry for 5 years. Despite the fact that they have never been officially married, the couple became parents to a girl. After the separation, the Bond girl actress wanted to move to France to her new lover together with the daughter. Gabriel objected that in court. Finally, the ex-lovers could agree about the joint custody over their kid.
Olivier Martinez and Halle met on the spot of Dark Tide in 2012. An official marriage ceremony took place a year later, when the starry actress was pregnant with their baby. Unfortunately, the couple announced their divorce plans in two years, after their baby was born. However, the ex-spouses manage to maintain amicable relationship in the sake of the children.
The Hollywood beauty is the mother of two.
Nahla Ariela Aubry was born in 2008. She lived for some time with her mother’s third spouse Olivier, and is very close with him. Nahla was really happy to become a sister - she adores her younger brother.
Maceo-Robert Martinez arrived in 2013. He was a real surprise for his mother, as she thought she couldn’t get pregnant anymore. That’s why Halle named her son Maceo - it means “God’s blessing” in Spanish.

Tremendous actor, beautiful woman, but she come from an unstable childhood where her father constantly abused her mother, so she obviously can not keep a relationship for good. Watch what you do around your children, it will dictate what they do in life....
