Hi!! Regulating temperature is important, so if wearing gloves helps maintain a constant temperature in your hands then that should help. Avoid doing things like putting your hands near heaters and fires or in hot water as those sudden temperature changes will drive the development of chilblains. Good luck!!
It’s the heat that Aggravates this condition. The colder my little toes are the less I notice it. Soaking my feet in hot water and epsom salt is really bad, but I noticed that chlorine as in a jacuzzi makes the heat tolerable, so now when I soak my feet I use a 1/4 cup of bleach to about 1.5 gallons of hot water. So I question if this is chilblain or something else.
Hi The it's the change. Going from cold to hot creates a rapid vasodilation, so the blood vessels open really quickly and the toes get flooded with blood. When you then remove the feet from hot water and place it in the cold floor, for example, you get a rapid vasoconstriction where the blood vessels close up really quickly. It's this process that can cause and aggravate chilblains.
For the past 3 years every winter time it happened and I have not been giving any medicine or cream to it .my doctor says there is nothing wrong with me
Go to a dermatologist I went, and they took a biopsy of my fingers and found I have chilblains I was given medication and the cream to stop the itching and pain so there is something your doctor can give you for it it did work it did heal it for me and I had a severe case I had peripheral artery disease, so I get this regularly.
