    When I had an electric pressure washer from Costco it did the same thing at startup, where it would have pressure then stop and come back eventually working fine. I never really figured out what it was, but my best guess was it was having to get primed or get the air out of the system or something of that nature. Never really took long to get over it, but was worrying first few times. The whole then eventually fell apart and I got a gas powered one again from Costco. As always thanks for sharing your experiences.

      I am still wondering if that will come back. Home Depot gives you 90 days to return if there are problems so right now I am not worried. Hope this one lasts a long time. Thanks for watching.

      I have this same model and using it to refinish our 1600 sq ft deck. I've learned to get the air bubbles out like he did in the beginning of his video then I turn the motor on and leave it alone for several minutes to allow it time to build enough pressure otherwise it will cut out (and it's maddening). Also, The longer the hose the longer it takes to build pressure. Anyway hope this helps someone. I was about to return ours but it works great once it builds the pressure it needs.

    I got a cheap foam cannon and been using the Mr. Pink from chemical guy. I have become a fan of their product and got some more items. They seem to have good products. Like you said the foam cannon is a quick touch up wash. It will never touch a hand wash. I use it like you did with the car to take dust and light dirt off. The one thing I do is give it a rinse with one of the broader pressure washer tips first to help for the loose dirt off before adding the soap. Thanks for the good videos. I am looking forward to this year’s garden videos.

      You had me curious. I checked my bottle that is some what old and it did not really say. I watched a few of their videos before starting when I got mine and they were pre rinsing. I will have to try it without, less water wasted. Thank you for the reply.

    Cool, I just picked up the smaller version (1,900 psi) to clean up my rocks. Works great but...
    Same problem I noticed with the stiffness of the hose, I'm hoping that is because it can withstand being accidentally hit but the washer.
    I haven't tried the spinning nozzle yet
    Thanks for the upload

    My Home Depot has the Ryobi undercarriage washer for $40, it’s twice as much on Amazon. Ryobi’s 2000 psi is great, the hose is too stiff as you say, and they could do much better with how to quickly hang the extension cord and hose. Mine has a hose reel that is complete garbage. Better to just have a large hook to hang the hose and another hook to hang the cord. Modification is necessary!

      Mine still works awesome and I use it all the time. With the foam cannon I can wash both cars in about 15 minutes. Not powerful like my gas one but that's why I got this one for most chores. What was wrong with yours? Home depot has an excellent return policy. Thanks for watching.

    I love seeing your beautiful truck all cleaned up. I also own an electric power washer and I love it. It was a no-name brand and it is over 13 years old but still going strong. That shocks me. Every year I get it out and expect it to be dead - but it starts right up! I’ve owned the big, expensive gas-powered ones in the past but they always seem to have a dead pump in a couple of years. I hope yours holds up over time too. Yes, the electrics are not high powered but they do a great job for my purposes. SO much easier than another gas engine to worry about servicing and starting up. Does that foam washer use refills? I have the same problem with my porch deck. Had to have it all rebuilt a few years ago but deeply regret NOT spending the extra for a composite install. Those decks look beautiful year after year and hold up great with our climate. Paint just does not hold up here. As soon as you start shoveling and track salt or pet safe calcium chloride on it, it just wrecks the paint. EVERY year I have to repaint it and it never lasts. Oh I was planning to build more raised beds and have not seen recent lumber prices. I guess I will prepare for “sticker shock.” The big metal livestock watering tubs at Rural King or Tractor Supply might be cheaper.
    Please consider wearing mineral sunblock or your face and hands. I just had to have some suspect spots on my face and forearms biopsied and burnt off. YEARS and years of being outdoors adds up. I know most men pooh-pooh it, but we outdoors people need to be a little careful as we age. Spring has sprung and it is so glorious to be outside again!

    • @unemployedredneckhillbilly2023
      @unemployedredneckhillbilly2023  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This washer is nice for most jobs. The foam cannon just uses foaming soap and water. You add 2 ounces of the soap then fill it most of the way with hot water. Does a pretty good job similar to the carwash wands you put many quarters in. It's hard to believe the increase of prices for lumber. Most is up at least 400% over a year and a half ago. We are putting off the deck redoing until prices drop. It shouldn't look bad once the old paint is all off.
      Our doctors office checks us over every year. My wife had some spots removed a year ago. I hate the feel of sunscreen and just wear a big hat now. Every summer I get pretty dark and should use something. I should be done with my outside boiling about midnight tonight and can't wait to finish up the syrup so I can get going in the yard. Thanks for watching.

    man the hose if it is stiff that means it is better because it won't bent easily and it is outta the way, some hoses bent and that stops water from coming easily and if you want to replace the hose make sure it doesn't bent easily and long enough so it doesn't make you frustrated.

  • @alext8828
    @alext8828 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nice video. I bet I'm much lazier than you. I use a siding brush on my cars so I don't have to bend or reach. Soft bristles do a good job and don't trap grit that can scratch the paint. Works great on the wheels too. They also sell a pad that looks like foam fingers all over it. (like a Shiwalla) I think it might be called a Car Mop. Any of these with a bucket of soapy water and you're done in no time.
    Another thing I wanted to mention is to rinse your truck before you foam it. The water starts loosening the grime so it will come off freely as you go along.
    And I use Johnson's paste wax on both cars. Any paste wax is great, but don't let it dry as they tell you to do. Just rub it lightly with a cloth to thin out the wax or you'll have a hard time buffing it out. I told you I was lazy. Good luck and take it easy.

    I find myself watching the detail geek, about the cheap foam cannons. th-cam.com/video/xvcSjKCywa0/w-d-xo.html
    I bought my gas pressure washer BJ's for really cheap money from Briggs & Stratton. It doesn't have a standard wand, so I would have to swap it out with adjustable nozzles. My pressure washer does have the option to add soap, but it doesn't have a container or just the hose that comes out that you stick in a bottle which I thought was kind of cheesy. I was looking at some of those pressure hoses at the store this weekend, and I can concur that those hard plastic lines are really garbage. The leaf blower to dry it off had me rolling. LOL

      @unemployedredneckhillbilly2023  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I ordered a 50 ft Flexzilla hose to try now that I know it works good. That hose that came with it is stiff like a piece of PEX tubing. I was to lazy to get out the big stihl backpack blower. That would have done a better job. My gas one has the tube setup also but I never tried it. The gallon jug on this will be a pain to empty if you put to much in. Thanks for watching.

      It's an 2018 and we love it. it has the 6.2 liter engine and gets about 19 mpg with plenty of power to tow a trailer. I went to buy a 2019 model and did not like them at all. Saw this on the lot, test drove it, and took it home. The sticker shock is big to get into something comfortable. Most new ones have little engines that sound like sewing machines and get better mileage where this one has a nice sound and power at lower rpms. Thanks for watching.
