Campaigning for protected cycle lanes which connect urban areas is key to encouraging more peeps on their bikes IMO. Sustrans are doing an amazing job but a national cycle network really shouldn’t just be charitable. Proper Government support and funding is required. There are so many benefits to cycling which outweigh the downsides.

Lets hope that all the wonderful work these organisations do for us will eventually lead to changes where cycling infrastructure is treated in the same way as that for the other modes of transport. Thankfully, there are lots of promising signs for this, so hopefully the future is bright.
