I m born n brought up Punjabi. From Patiala region of punjab. First, onion n ginger garlic is not added while boiling the leaves. Onion boiled with saag kills d flavour n fragrance of saag. Second, there is no use of hing in saag.
U show easy way to cook things..i have once tasted this dish made by Punjabi frnd which made me go crazy after tasting it was yummy..i didn't know the ingredients..thanks

I made it twice first time I didn't used spinach and it was really good.. loved the taste.. next time used spinach and it turned out to be little bitter. So I would suggest following it without spinach.. good recipe quick and simple..
The recipe is awesome but being a punjabi i would like to say that sarson, palak, bathua, and methi leaves are THE MAIN to prepare the saag in traditional way.
I am from punjab it took 3 to 4 hours for perfect sarson ka saag and that's the real taste it will only come from punjabi moms noone will prepare saag like punjabi moms
Punjab has only 4 dishes Paneer Parata Rajma chawal Saag (extremely rare) Unless you are with your family nothing is there to eat,and that too they mix maida and sugar all the time 😂

Suggestion- try adding cornmeal mixed wid curd or butter milk for better taste. The slight sour taste of curd wil enhance its taste.
