    You've caught the travel bug, which is only natural for people of your age and obviously, income group. No sarcasm intended.
    I've been doing this Mumbai Goa run since the mid seventies,and have still not tired of it.
    Road conditions were abominable then,both on the direct route,as well as the one you have taken now. But still,the thrill was undeniable.
    I still travel occasionally on this route and I still enjoy the views.
    Keep traveling and gain enriching experiences. All the best!!

      Completely agree. We’ve been bitten by the travel bug indeed. We’ve been travelling since long but recently started capturing the moments here on TH-cam. Goa has always been close to our heart and is our comfort travel destination 😊 Goa never fails to amaze us and enrich us with new experiences. More such trips are on the cards but Goa remains among the favourites!!

    Road in katraj tunnel is roughened to enable trucks and non abs/non traction control vehicles to have better control in urgent situations.

      Yes. Completely agree. I guess there is a slope in the tunnel because of which such road is created inside the tunnel.

      The route was Mumbai - Pune - Satara - Kolhapur - Belgavi - Anmod ghat - Mollem - South Goa. However, we returned via Chorla ghat which we found to be the better route.
      Road conditions are good except a few patches inside the Bhimgarh wildlife Sanctuary which were extremely bad.

    Good vlog. You mentioned in your last visit, at ghat there was traffic jam, and automatic cars stranded on side. What is actual issue with automatic cars? Yours or other's car got issue?

    • @ThatWanderingCoupleIndia
      @ThatWanderingCoupleIndia  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      On uphills in bumper to bumper traffic jam many automatic cars had gearbox overheat issues. We saw many cars had to be parked on the side to cool down. The issue occurs when one continuously uses brake and accelerator during bumper to bumper traffic. We didnt face this issue because I always took the car to N when stopped.

    • @LimitlessTraveller
      @LimitlessTraveller 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      yes i also had observed this issue. Maine 25 dec ko travel kiya tha tab express Highway, Pune bypass, khambatki ghat bohot traffic tha... bumper to bumper... tab bohot sari gadiya side mey park thi aur bonet open thee... fortuner tak side mey thee... aur clutch plate jalne ki smell aa rahi thi...
      Mumbai se Mahabaleshwar jane ke liye muje 13 hrs lage the itna traffic tha.

    • @ThatWanderingCoupleIndia
      @ThatWanderingCoupleIndia  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Holidays ke time yehi problem rehta hai. With soo many automatic cars and inexperienced drivers, overheating of cars in ghats takes place.

    Anmod ghat is down south.
    Can you tell what is the exact route you took? After crossing Belgaum, did you pass internal route via Khanapur >> Shiroli >> Rangarook. This joins anmod ghat. It’s a wildlife reserve for the big cats. It’s very risky.
    Chorla ghat is a proper highway. That is better.
