Gotta luv the old Super Attacks!! The strategy behind it all is what I miss in the newer games! The deflections, the blocking and even counter attacks makes the old 16bit DBZ games so satisfying to play!!! I own the Sega Megadive version myself!! Great stuff!!
For some weird reason, in Super Butouden 1, some characters will only shout the name of their special attacks if they're in a mirror match (like for Piccolo's strong special or Vegeta's weak special).
I played Butoden 2 before playing Butoden 1 and my first impression was that 1 sucked haha. The graphics, voiceovers, proportions, everything was off. But I later found that all to be charming. The things I liked about B1 was the characters, you could play as imperfect cell, android 16, non SSJ goku and vegeta. That was something not seen before in pre Budokai DBZ games.
It should be noted that Goten's kame hame ha is infact kame kame ha, you can hear him say it in the game. This is a reference to the series when he uses it and Trunks makes fun of him for mispronouncing it like that.

Yeah its weird but probably its due to the 64kb Sound chip limitation.
Butoden 2 is the best one of the trilogy for sure.
