@@JimsObsessiveCyclingDisorder yep, run into pedal runout real fast, especially when you have to outrun some irresponsible rednecks fiercesome loose dog. 😂 with single speeds long gears are the lesser of two evils once the flat and downhill terrain comes back.
Using bikecalc. to calculate gear ratio you have around 68 gear inches which in the single speed world is about middle of the road. A good compromise 🙂 Nice build btw.
I have an old Murray cruiser that was thrown into a scrap bin at work. I took it home and restored it. It rides like a dream now and looks great
That's great! It's amazing what folks will toss rather than fix. :)
Love those old cruisers. I have a couple of old Schwinns which I ride daily. Thanks for the video.
Nice! And thank you.
Sweet as hell! I got a 42 silver king not nearly as nice a this. Rides like a sprung chariot.😂
Thanks. It's a ton of fun, in more ways than one lol.
would it not ride better if you had a smaller front crank and larger tooth on the back?
Ride might be easier climbs due to lower gear ratio. Ride quality not impacted.
It might climb better but you'd run out of gear pretty quickly everywhere else. :)
