  • Autoblog's Seyth Miersma hits for the Audi A7 cycle, giving us a brief review of the 2016 A7 3.0 after previously pontificating on the S7 and RS7. Does the lower-power car still stand up?

    The A7 with 3.0TFSI is the best of the three, with the supercharger you get very decent power more than 300hp with instant supercharger response, the S7 give you bit more power and few stickiness but it already have turbos which equals lag and the RS is just tuned S with more stickers and a body kit.
    So the ultimate daily driver is the A7 with 3.0TFSI and tune, with tune you can easily get 400HP+ just with tune, no new parts, so you have the same power as the S7 but no turbo lag.
    If you take off all the stupid V6T stickers you will have realllllly great sleeper, which is super comfy inside, pleasant to drive and with tune you have enough power to have fun.

      A ecoboost mustang is almost as fast as this car... I'm still getting the a7 (upgrade from a5) but its not really that fast all things considered.

      @@davidchavez4464stock, maybe not, but cheap and quick installed mods like cold air intake, exhaust & headers or just chopping the muffler to get some aggressive noise, tune, smaller supercharger pulley and MAYBE get the supercharger ported and polished and boom, anywhere from an extra 50-300hp. And that’s without even getting to the internals of the engine🤷‍♂️

    I’ve been thinking about getting an Audi A7 3.0 between 2012-2014 I’ve looked at a lot of reviews some say not to get it some say these engines are bulletproof I would really like some feedback on this I don’t know what to do

    I got the 2016 A7 3.0 TFSI in the same S line sport, 20" wheels, exterior/interior colors and same interior trim. Except mine has the 'comfort seats' option which are even more comfortable and plush than the standard seats in the video.
    This "lower power car" is faster than any V6 sedan from BMW (5 or 6 GC Series), Mercedes (E or CLS Class) or Lexus (GS).
    Motortrend's test of the 2016 A7: 4.7 sec (0 to 60 mph), 13.3 sec @ 104.8 mph (quarter mile), 25.1 sec @ 79 g avg (MT's Figure 8 course), 94 g (lateral acceleration), 109 ft (braking 60 to 0 mph). The 2016 A6 had almost the same numbers in MT's test.

      ***** Yes, there are more positives on the Audi A7 than the other cars in this segment. The A7 (supercharged V-6 engine) is almost as quick as the BMW 650i xDrive Gran Coupe (V-8 engine with 445 hp and 480 lb ft torque): in 0 to 60 mph, the A7 was tested at 4.7 sec compared to the BMW 650i xDrive Gran Coupe at 4.6 sec. In the quarter mile, the A7 was tested at 13.3 sec @105 mph compared to the BMW 650i xDrive Gran Coupe at 13.0 sec @ 109 mph. The A7 is definitely quicker than the Mercedes CLS400, which was tested at 5.1 sec (0 to 60 mph) and at 13.7 sec @ 102 mph (quarter mile). The tested BMW 650i xDrive Gran Coupe cost $112,845 while the tested Mercedes CLS400 cost $86,280, booth far more expensive than the tested A7 which cost $77,725.
      Are your diamond-pattern seats the "S sports seats"? If so, do you have the S7 or RS7 (or A7 you bought outside North America)? In Europe, Audi offers the choice of either standard seats (seat ventilation is an option) comfort seats (massage function and seat ventilation are options) or 'S sport seats' (pure sport seats to provide better support when cornering, no massage function) on the A7. I agree that the top view camera should have been included (but it does come with front and rear view cameras).

      bmw doesn't use V block 6 cylinder engines. Only Inline 6 or I6. Were u referring to the 6series V8 maybe?

      dude this thing weighs like 400lbs more than an E class, and the top end will lag as the supercharger is rendered useless up there. the 3.5s in the E class will beat this car after 70mph

      Depends which model year of A7 you are talking about. My experience with BMWs is that they have very, very good suspension bit firm but not bouncy but thats about it with BMW, hate the styling, hate the engine selection in newer BMW, the interior are not bad but i dont like the styling, last but not least they dont come with 4x4 as standard, you need to pay extra for the Xdrive.
      The styling of A7 is superb, inside and outside, you will get 4x4 as standard, very good engines(especially diesels), many, many options which the car can have a which people actually bought in case you are buying used one as in case of used BMWs people only buy the badge and the car is like a concentration camp inside, not many toys to play with. Also the base seats of BMW suck very, very bad, you need to get the sports seats otherwise you are in pain. Not a case with Audi.

    Blabbering on without any constructive points, and talks a ton about the RS7 and S7. Did you even show the cargo area or back row? I didn't come to hear how the S7 is so much cooler.

    Why, on earth, do americans like wood effect in their cars?

    • @ScramJamJohnson
      @ScramJamJohnson 4 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Because wood has been featured in car interiors since literally the first luxury automobile. And how is that an American thing? It's a fucking German car.

    • @cmomofilm
      @cmomofilm 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ScramJamJohnson Because nobody in Europe would have a new car with a wooden interior, that's sold for the US market.

    • @Aluzcz
      @Aluzcz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@cmomofilm You are wrong, this is standard interior sold in EU as well and may used A7s have it, not a bad one, some of the shapes could be better but the wood is actual wood and its addition a quality to the car plus it gets you more relaxed.
