One day an old lady happened upon the Salvation Army Band on the sidewalk. She stopped and listened for a while, then put $100 in the collection. The bandmaster, surprised and happy at such a large offering, stopped the band immediately and asked her which hymn she would like. To which she replied, 'Him with the big drum'
I had the privilege and joy to see them performing in the very heart of Glasgow, where my sweet daughter studied for 4 years. they are truly amazing and the energy they emit when live cannot be reproduced by a movie, should it be a professional quality one.
I get out plastic garden tubs and wail on them with vacuum cleaner tubes and put small rocks in a gatorade bottle, paint my face and play along. Sounds just like the snare and drums. So fun. Best music I have found. I can't wait to blast this at my neighbors big solstice party outside under huge fir trees live Saturday Night! Thank you boys!
I so want to move to Scotland!!!!! This clan's music and energy move me to tears at times. I don't dance but with this music my feet do their own thing 😜😜😜😜😜❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
As a U.S. Citizen, I've always had the utmost respect for the Scottish. Much like us, they don't take shit from other countries and are not afraid to fight against poor odds. I'm not Scottish but my ancestory on my Dad's side comes from Scotland, and they immigrated to my homeland, the USA.
I've lived in Glasgow for 20 years and I like Scotland! Я в Глазго живу 20 лет и мне Шотландия нравиться! Glasgow is twin to my hometown of Rostov-on-Don.
Simply magnificent. The Chinese may have the Great Wall and Egypt the pyramids, but the Scots have these guys and it's no contest. For cultural superiority, Scotland wins hands down. Scotland Forever!
Mermbo Nermberferv okay u got off lucky i was about to go ham on u , not ur fault but im fucking sick n tired of other races thinking they can disrespect my celtic n nordic heritage
This would pump up the troops, and terrify the enemy to hear the sudden outbreak of war drums, and bagpipes, then clans, of hairy, half naked warriors, come running to get you.. Make you regret ever coming to Scotland for a fight!
In world war 1 and 2, Scottish pipers would literally walk out in the front line and play, some of them being shot. It scared the shit out of the Nazies
I would listen to pipe and drum music and my soul used to just melt away as if I had been born into it. Strangest thing in the world I thought, for someone who was Czech/Russian, I just craved it. Well, that was before I researched my Czech heritage , and found out that that the Czechs ARE CELTIC. HA ! ! ! Pretty cool, ha. Catherine Humberg
Actually, it's a myth that there's anything "Celtic" about bagpipes. All the Slavic countries have bagpipes, The Czechs have the cseska dudy, their national bagpipe. The Russians have the volyinka and several others (though they are rare now). It has nothing to do with "Celtic", the "Celtic" thing has been made up in the last 30 years. The actual Celts once covered all of Europe. That was 1900 years ago. The Celts had no bagpipes. The remnant populations that still retain a Celtic secondary language: the Irish, Scots, Welsh and Bretons, got bagpipes in the 1400s along with everyone else in medieval Europe: the French, the Germans, the Poles . . .
@@halsawyer9930 your right there is so many regional varients of bag pipes throughout Europe - even middle east and africa. It was a great human idea that spread around different areas
goosebumps here. I have my axe, my sword, and my guns. this boils in my blood. My scottish blood! even though I grew up in the states. I still feel it. YAAARRGGGGGHHHHHH !! Be intimidated our enemies, we are fighters, if you provoke us!!
I saw a band in Brittany keltic rock band when they came on in kilts with bag pipes I thought oh here we go what are these going to be like then they played they rocked the place was one of the best bands I heard had the place jumping up and down 😁

Saw them on Buchanan Street one night near Christmas a few years ago snow swirling around them, .. magical
MY dream is to hear the pipes and drums played like this coming across a misty field on a cold autumn morn.
I’ve seen these lads a few times, yes they are as loud as they sound. They’re mad but I love it!

you know, they used to play this kind of music in Vietnam, out of loudspeakers in Hueys, it very much worked!
In world war 1 and 2, Scottish pipers would literally walk out in the front line and play, some of them being shot. It scared the shit out of the Nazies
