Had mine for about a month now. Out of all the cruisers I've owned(this is my 4th), the Raider is surprisingly the most stable. I had a 1700 Road Star before this, and when you would hit pot holes or bumps in the road, it would give you that little fish tail feeling, especially a bump in a turn. The Raider is 10x better. The suspension is a little stiffer that a Road Star though, but I wouldn't go back even if you paid me. And don't get me started on the power lol. When I test rode my 09, I wasn't even planning on getting a new bike. I was with a friend, and the sales guy talked me into riding it with my friend who was test riding another bike. After we got back, I had to have it.
I'd like to see some wind tunnel testing on the cowl.....I had a harley nightster and besides the almost zero shock travel on my bumpy back roads the wind buffeting at highway speeds ruined my ride enjoyment. For getting around town? It was a blast but on the highway? Guess I'm getting old but it wasn't fun at all.....
No water pump and no radiator, sometimes simple is better. If you really want all out performance get a VMAX, 2018 is it's last year, I am heartbroken...

This bike is awesome.
Would’ve been nice to include the link to the cowl that you put in the thumbnail🤦🏼♂️🤷🏼
@@Merica7617 This video is 9 years old and that cowl is no longer available.
Cutting-edge technology adapted to old-school muscle.
HP and torque is difficult to find out on Raider, show diffrent numbers on the net
Does anyone know if you can take that cowl off easily? If I get a good price on one I would like to take it off. No wiring to move or cut?
They don't make this motorcycle anymore and the Stryker.
Push rod? why use old tech?
old tech = reliable.....plus overhead valves/cam means more weight up top, and a timing chain to deal with.....
