"Rats" is a true message about man"s inhumanity to man. Clean guitar riffs fuel the rage against the status quo and the injustices which only make the ruling class richer. Eddie is our modern day spokesperson for " the working class hero".Thank you for this video clip.
Michael Nangle ... Have you ever listened to Matt Freeman or Claypool..? .... I am not saying he isn't cool or an accomplished bassplayer, just that there is others around too.!
Has to be one of the best if not the best live versions of this I've heard. Vedder sounds so similar to on the album. And the overall sound is just great.
Always loved this song. Just one of those songs that you find yourself singing or the words in your head and you wonder where it came from? What sound, smell, emotion made that spongey thing in our head fire up the 'Rats' protocol? Unless it's the soul. Anyway, great song and great sentiment.
@@lauticureboca9277 you’re absolutely right, i already checked it out. He gets a minor number of solos of course, but still does. He plays it for example in Brain of J, or in the Neil Young’s Fuckin Up cover. Overall i still like most Mike’s soloing, reckon he’s got a larger variety of choice and a better dramatic attitude for ballads’ solos (thinkin about Black, Immortality, obviously Yellow Ledbetter, and so on)
@@fgianne98 Don't forget Do The Evolution. I believe its the most famous solo by Stone. Probably i'm wrong, but he is a killer in that amazing song. And yeah, i agree with you. Mike is the boss.
Love Matt Cameron to death. One of the best drummers of all time, but he's just not right for Pearl Jam, especially doing the Vs. stuff. Still mad PJ burned the bridges with Dave. He was THE iconic Pearl Jam drummer.
I’m here after “The Suicide Squad” and there’s a line from a character named Ratcatcher that made me want to immediately look up this song when I got home.

Dave was fired in 1994. Long gone by the time this performance happened. Jack Irons was their drummer from late ‘94 till ‘98 then Matt Cameron became their drummer and he’s been with them ever since.
Highly underrated Pearl Jam classic.
Only Pearl Jam can sing a song about rats & make it awesome.
@Dena Meneades It’s a song about people in it’s essence. How we’re the same in our fears, ignorance, greed, etc. as...rats
@Dena Meneades yep,absolutely 😀
We’re worse than rats
Ben
Het
Er niet mee eens
@ FIshfood500 Yup. Human rats know what they’re doing
Eddie is always sexy, but there is something about the way he performs this song that takes me to whole new place
Good song.
Fuck that tech music. Anyone with a turntable.
Can I just point to the awesomeness of the bass groove?

THAT DANCE AT THE BEGINNING😂😂😱😱
Such a kick ass song, a true hidden gem from early on in their career!
Jeff Ament must be the coolest bass player on the planet.
he is!! you should listen to royal blood there bass is pretty sick watch them live !
Michael Nangle ... Have you ever listened to Matt Freeman or Claypool..? .... I am not saying he isn't cool or an accomplished bassplayer, just that there is others around too.!
les claypool is right there
Those licks brooo
@@miasimone7799 love royal blood. Very different music, but as a bassist I love the whole no guitar thing
Oh Pearl Jam, I love you so much! Thank you for all these great songs in all those years 🤩
I love Pearl Jam too
Eddie is soooooo awesome😍
pearl jam is so awesome
One of the tightest, cleanest, bass lines I've ever had the privelege to play ... I even have a few "Rats" tatoed on my arm ...
Has to be one of the best if not the best live versions of this I've heard. Vedder sounds so similar to on the album. And the overall sound is just great.
That bass... ❤️
Like the finest of wines ❤️
Eddie is amazingly talented and aged beautifully
I fuckin love this song. one of PJs best...
Great Solo Stone!!
YEAH.. THE CAMERA GUY DIDN´T KNOW IT WAS STONE`S SOLO
Best song ever!❤
pearl jam....they don't compare¡

I absolutely love this!! My favorite band on this planet love you Eddie!! Thank you for sharing this awesome video 😊💓🤘✌️
This was so lovely to watch and listen to
Yes he is.. haven't heard this track in Yrs,,, great track.
Amazing groove from the one and only Matt Cameron
Brilliant video! Thanks for uploading
Absolutely amazing
AAA+ performance!
love this song thanks for the upload
Probably the one and only Stone Gossard’s solo in his whole career
Even the camera guy was initially running to McCready
Mmmmmm, no. From Vs., and little by little, Stone played various guitar solos. He evolved incredibly.

“Ben the two of us need look no more!”
Love always
The robot dance lmfao! That was adorable, though
Awesome video quality, any idea what camera was used?...looking to pick one up for this summers concerts!
Pearljam313 and amazing sound quality, almost like soundboard audio!
WOW
Is this song about the behaviour of rats and their superiority over the human race. Seems to be a lot of comparisons that make a lot of sense.
Those moves man..
Love
Great !!!
Thanks
Please Eddie, do the 0:03 robot on summer tour 2012, especially in Stockholm, hehe... ;-D
vS was such a dope album
Amooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo !

SuperSparrow45 Matt shreds on this song. He’s a badass
Dave had too much for pearl jam
One of my favorites. They so eloquently explain why rats are better then humans

❤
Ed still has it, WHERE'S DAVE?
Kicked out in 1994

Ben, the two of us need look no more..
Who is Ben?
As a true fans, i'd rather like dave a version
Vedder is high
Dave Abbruzzese if I wasn't clear. Anyone?
Dave was fired in 1994. Long gone by the time this performance happened. Jack Irons was their drummer from late ‘94 till ‘98 then Matt Cameron became their drummer and he’s been with them ever since.
I love Matt Cameron, BUT he needs to work on his swing grooves. He is too robotic.
Idk wyta, I like this version
Falta Dave en batería... suena vacío ... falta potencia sin Dave...
Cameron butchering what Dave A did. At least respect and play his drum lines correctly. He was a much better drummer.
Someone needs to take Matt Cameron off of the drums...
Eddie has a great voice, but bro he needed to work on his dance moves 😂😂😂
Que terrible toca ese baterista en comparación al que grabo esa concion.
