Great presentation, no comical commentary, just straight to the point, no wait and bate. Just perfect. Just what I look for before purchasing a product, someone that can take you through the product without all the facial antics and silliness. Thanks bruh!
I've been really wanting a pack from Gossamer Gear and I ended up deciding on the Kumo. A year later and the code still works! Been enjoying the channel for a while now, thanks for helping out with the never ending discount =P
My base right now is 10.5. Im looking at the g4 reissue. I like this pack more but not sure it would work. With bear hang kit, winter gloves, micro spikes, etc things for partial carries + maxed out water and food my upper limit is 28lbs. Trying to refine things but cdt is unpredictable and cold.
I got the same pack just over a year ago and totally love it. It came with an almost entirely useless hip belt (for what I was looking for anyway) but it was really easy to attach a fany pack for a little storage on the go. Great idea using the back pad pocket for snacks and bits of garbage too! I give it a bunch of thumbs up.
+Dave Hardy awesome! I disagree with the hipbelt being useless though, it's not padded but it definitely made the larger food carries more comfortable on the PCT and had pockets to store extra yummies. Are you still using the Kumo?
Hi Neemor! Thanks for the discount. I have the maripossa, but have been looking pretty hard at a smaller one. You pushed me over the edge! Kumo on its way. Thanks man, really appreciate it! You are doing good things out there!
1:55 whoa, it actually happened haha. I'm sure you've seen it by now, but if not, check out the "Fast Kumo" they released last season. It's exactly that
great review. I used the mariposa plus on the AT 2016 and wish I knew how to go lighter like you did with a 36L pack. My issue was always food weight and my fear of running out.
I’m 6’3” and was curious if you saw any tall hikers using this pack and did they have any complaints with it being a smaller size? Love the videos man, keep up the good work.
One thing I really don't get about the design of this pack is that asymmetric, slanting mesh pocket. Seems to me there is missed carrying capacity by not making to top edge go straight across. Might even make it a deal breaker to me. GG should fix that in a new version, IMHO.
Hey! I didn't quite understand it at first either, but after using it for a while it was actually very practical. I was able to access things in the pocket while the pack was still on my back (because of the lower right side) i carried an Ipad as my "phone" on the pct and had to store it in the mesh pocket. so it was really nice to be able to grab it out without having to take off my pack every time I wanted to check my Guthooks Guide app. if you are worried about the extra storage though, check out the Gorilla. it has more internal and external storage.

Neemor's World I guess not useless, a bit small for what I was trying to stow. I still use the pack a lot, it always seems to suit really well.
+Dave Hardy oh okay.
Cool! 😄
Thanks for the review, and thanks for looking out for us and trying to save us some money on that pack. JT. from Oregon
Bro. Tell me about that dope shirt!
yes

have you ever thought of using a palante?/why not?
Yup. I love my Palante. I also work for them now.
What pack are you currently using/will be using on future hikes?
I got a Palante Simple pack.
Neemor's World, should have figured as much, I'm stoked for their next release

Great review, kumo in my cart but discount code does not work anymore. :(
That’s sad to hear!
Have you checked out the ULA CDT? Any comment?
+John Lake Jazz my friend has one of those. They seem pretty good. I don't know much about them though.
