If you want to diagnose meny of electric components of an Mercedes w203 first you have to find the location of the fuses and relays .
Than using a multimeter it is possible to get a pretty accurate diagnosis and help you decide if you need to change a part or not .
So in this video , I am gonna point out to you all the fuses and relays on this Mercedes C class and a quick demo on how to test a fuse and a relay . There can be found 3 boxes of fuses

The best video EVER !! for a whole year my driver seat wouldn’t move thought I was going to have to change the motor , came across this video and decided to change the fuse w:out even checking it and lord behold my seat is moving !!

It doesn't turn on the dashboard light and no fault indicator light, but the car turns on without problems, but the front lights and the engine fan turn on at maximum speed. Thanks a lot of the video , I have replaced the alternator for my C32 AMG it was defected I replaced it with another new one , it blow up the Fuel Pump relay and after I replaced the relay yet the car doesn't start ...I am looking for the alternator fuse ...any idea where it is ?

On my car the switch is on the small panel by the shifter when I turn the dials , the clutch engages on the compressor . But I know some other cars have a relay also ; check if you have extra relays apart from what I presented , for example..
There is no relay. Ac compressor has no clutch. Because ac compressor works according to its proportional valve.

06:38 i have a problem with fuse 52 for starting the car, it keeps breaking and my car won't start and i have to constantly replace it.
I see number is 20 on yours, mine is 15.

Change the fuse to 20Amps fuse. Your current fuse is constantly blowing because your starter relay has a damaged resistor. Replace the relay with one from Mercedes’ Benz. More expensive to buy from Benz; but best practice in this situation.
@@kiwiwifi i tried to replace with a number 20 yellow fuse but still didn't work. I ended up taking it to my mechanic. He repaired something, I don't know what exactly. Now it works perfectly fine with a non-mercedes blue fuse number 15

I have one more question in regards to the Function and the Fuse No. What does (SE - SA) stand for next to the function? I have a fuse #8 that's missing and it states Anti - Theft Alarm (SE). can or should I place one in that slot if their was not one their and if I do will it affect anything if it was already missing.

Hi mate! My dashboard is dark and I'm still driving 2 weeks till coming 2 second-hand dashboards from eBay. But even with other dashboards is the same! I read in the forum this is often and maybe is low battery, a bad connection or cut inside wire after crimping. How to find the pins with for power supply on this 20 pin connector and the fuse for this connector supply?

My Rear Fog light went out on the one side, the bulb was good, and on the fuse list at 1:10 it say "electronic". I was wondering where the fuses or relays for the fog lights are? Excellent video by the way.
Chris I’m having the same issue. My left blinker isn’t working and I see that for turn signals it says electrical. Not sure what to do
@@alexcascante001 I saw a video where a guy replaced the whole blinker assembly. It looked like a pain because he had to take off the steering wheel and the air bag.

Hey there ... great videos .... here is my odd problem ... it is a long story. Maybe you can help me, I know what caused my problem. I have a 2006 C-230 Mercedes Sport with 63,000 miles. I had been looking at my fuses to try to disable the car alarm that kept going off randomly. I did not even touch the fuses as I figured I would later that day and my big mistake was leaving the fuse cover off since I knew I would be back later on. The problem is I went for gas and figured why not get a car wash. I did and as I came out of the wash I heard the radiator fan louder than usual. I pulled off to the side of the car wash and turned off the engine and then the fan came back on .... I pulled out the key and it still stayed on. Then I opened the hood and I saw that I had left the fuse box cover off and looked closer and I saw some small drops of water on the fuses. Murphy's Law. I had left the cover off and then got a car wash and water had somehow sprayed under the bonnet. A bad coincidence. I dried it off as best I could. The fan stayed on. I drove it home and it stayed on even without the key. Right now I have the negative terminal off the battery to stop the fan. I will readdress the problem in the daylight tomorrow. Any thoughts ?

Great video, thanks. One question, I have w203 220CDI (2004 facelift) and I see that fuse nr 58 and 61 are empty, on the paper they say for transmission electronics. I have automatic transmission with 5 gears. Do you know what are they for? Thanks!
Thanks. That's a good question .. Is your transmission "tip-tronic" ( the option on the gear stick to use it in manual mode ) ?
I can not be 100 % sure , but it is possible that the fuse box was designed for other high end models which might have extra options on the transmission (like extra selenoids) . I didn't check for my self yet , but you can disconnect the main wire harness from the transmission and look for continuity from those pins to the specific fuse box ; that can be one way to find out about those opened slots .

Great video > question 07-c280 / crank no start especially after warmed up. Checked fuse & relay for fuel pump ( good ) replaced fuel pump with vdo and still having issues!! Had at two separate certified shops with no luck.
It requeres deeper invetigation which includes testing , wiring diagrams tools and knowledge about what to look for .
@@doit_vehicles ok, thanks for suggestion. I did bring to shop that specializes in Mb and they found the new fuel pump was drawing to much amperage!! So I replaced again and still having issue !! So I'm thinking ground issue ?? Any recommendations where to bring in Minnesota??

It might be in one of the fuse for " electronics " since it's a low amperage it will be in a bulk with other components

Question: Which Relay or Fuse do you think it may be that I should replace and as far as the pump. If the drivers side of the windshield wiper fluid hoses were working and on the drivers side and the Windshield Wiper Fluid hose on the passenger side was not working would that mean that the pump is good. Better question would be is if the pump was bad would fluid only come out of one (1) hose because fluid is coming out of the drivers side and not the passenger side.
The windshield wiper motor has the fuse number 46 on this car and the relay" L " for the motor . If it was spraying fluid only through one nozzle either that nozzle was clogged or the pump is too weak . Try first to hear any nose from the pump location when you activate it, it's quite loud. Try as well with a needle to unclogge the nozzle . I don't think the pump has a relay ; I might be wrong .
Thanks for your reply I was able to locate the problem it's not the pump it was clogged an the Windshield Washer Nozzle I unclogged the line and replaced the Nozzle and it's not working. I took off the washer line removed the dirt from inside the tube line replaced the Windshield Washer Nozzle and the fluid if now coming out of the damaged nozzle. Thanks for your help and guidance

Hey man I also have a question, I have a Mercedes W203 c200k, I’m wondering if that’s OBD2 or OBD1, the heads up monitor I bought doesn’t seem to have power at all(tested on friend’s vehicle it works), the car’s OBD port is exactly the same so I can insert that, however I’m not really sure if my car is OBD2 complaint...
All the gasoline engines sold in Europe after 2001 are OBD 2 . Some are OBD 2 even before 2001 . If it fits on the connector it means its OBD2 . OBD1 will have different connectiors
