Nice to see those vintage radios again. Next time, please show some portable radios as well. Can I order them from your location to India? Are there any options to buy them?
Super video.i like what you show.and yes, lines were better than numbers on knobs.those curious things seem like vintage radio parts, diodes type.thanks for engrossing retro.
RE: "tube amplifier". Look up Radford amplifier, made in Britain and the first open source device. You could buy it or buy the drawings. I built two 100 watt RMS pure class A in 1984 and still use them, one per channel.
I remember a lot of those from the seventies. Some of the larger am/fm tuners had a heavy tuning dial tha would spin across stations . They would bring in a lot of channels and great sound.
At the beginning I saw the amplifier I bought in the service it was a Pioneer 1000TW. It was shown in this video at the beginning below the big speaker. It was above the KLH amplifier.
2:52. You said what is this? This could be tube radio. It's got to be a tube radio thought judging on the lot vintage audio. Lucky you two. You guys have a chance to see everyday vintage electrics, and having a place to take electrics to be repaired
Naw dude, total overstatement on "one of world's biggest", it's really regular i many parts Asia and really this is silly compared to Tokyo, not to mention the quality of gear (this stuff is really low end) and it's not well taken care of (unlike how the Japanese take care of their gear).
3:18 i have that micro JVC beauty UX-H30, it's so nice, has a beautiful sound and beautiful speakers, is one of my favorites in my collection, i remember one similar that appears in a famous Korean movie called The eye
My dad had the SAE Two amplifier once. I can't remember how it sounded but it was a powerful audio amplifier. Not sure if it's available in other finishing than black though.
hi you may know what i am talking about you may be to young there used to be a line of shops at nottinghill gate that use to sell alot of hi fi and pro audio gear the record shop is still there i think so ebay killed all the shops like this in the uk when ebay came along they sold all the gear at the car boot sell in the end
Vacuum tubes amplifier. Very common in the late 50s early 60s. Now people are crazy with those amps and they're paying tons of money for good ones. McIntosh is still making amps, pre amps, tuners and turntables mixing the old technology (vacuum tubes)with new one.
i see vacume tube amplifier,,, as at that such a high power transistors was not available what a hi fi out put given especially in public address system

3:00 It's a Tube Amp, very rare and cool sound. The glass bulb contains vacuum electrodes. It is the ancestor of the transistor
Outstanding! My dream shop.
Retro is better.

That Panasonic 4-channel receiver is a pretty rare piece from the first attempt at surround sound called Quadraphonic.

That my friend is a candy store. At least for me. All the best from Nova Scotia, Canada.
It's a tube amp. Audiophiles use these instead of transistor amps because the sound is less processed by electronics. They can be very expensive.
Oh dear I want to buy everything I love all of it
I would have loved to see a pioneer sg 9800 or 9500 equalizer, or even a kenwood 9600 stereo or a kenwood 9100 intergrated amplifier
Maybe next time…
Let me know if you come across a pair of JBL L110 bookshelf speakers.
