After days of research, I decided to purchase the Champion 3800-Watt dual fuel portable generator. It arrived quickly, was very easy to assemble, fired up right out of the box on propane and didn't seem too loud. The gauge shows volts, Hz and run hours.
Approaching 2000 hours of daily use and no problems. I have followed the maintenance schedule and all is good. And while it weighs around 120 lbs, the wheels make this Champion 3800w generator easy to move.
The electric start also makes it easy to get this up and running. I like the fact it runs on both gas and propane, but I will use gas since it produces more watts with gasoline and the rate of consumption is less than with propane.
This Champion Dual Fuel generator 3800 can run 11+ hours on a medium load (AC-TV-PS4-Microwave) 10-gallon tank with no problems. At my job, they purchased 2 other generators by known companies and one of them started to rust within 48 hours of being taken out the box and the other rubber hoses and tubes are starting to rot out. Neither of these has been run longer than 8 hours each and this was just to test them as they are for emergency purposes. Save yourself the hassle and worry and just buy a Champion dual fuel generator to start with!
