As someone who has been told that, even as a 16 year old, has an old soul, listening to this for some reason makes me believe them. Gives me that sense of nostalgia for even the unknown. Fills me with a sense of overwhelming joy and peace. It’s amazing.
I love it too. When I was a kid, I would walk to the Chicago Art Museum on Wednesdays in the summer because Wednesdays were free from school in the summer and entry was free on Wednesdays. I remember staring at all my favorites, but none more than "Nighthawks" and Georges Seurat's "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte". So many hours spent staring into these paintings, not one wasted. I find myself suddenly filled with nostalgia and gratitude. Thank you
As kid a kid I used to hear my dad play these on the old stereo. I loved looking at the album covers but didn’t really listen to the music. He would lay down on the living room floor eyes closed with a big smile. Now 50 years later, here I’m basically doing the same. Thanks uploader , love this.
Such strong memories of sleeping at my grandma's house as a kid. She would always play some good oldies to go to sleep to. Best sleep I ever had as a kid and now as well. Thanks for this nostalgia trip. 😊

Whoa!! I just purchased this print on canvas a week ago - 'Nighthawks'. I never lived in this time period but something about it just appeals to me. Just like the music, it appeals to me. I have a large variety of music from the 20's, 30's and 40's. This video just appeared tonight on my recommends. I liked and subbed.
These oldies were great; it makes me want to go check out my collection of 78s (inherited). Thanks for sharing the close-up photo and adding the magic touches. The moving car is a nice addition. Listening creates a scene. I imagine a middle-aged rural couple sitting near the radio, a hard days' work over; it's after supper, she's darning something, he's puffing his pipe and watching the rainy night, hoping they'd get enough to give the corn a nice drink. The younger kids are in bed, the oldest is studying for his exams in the fall😌😌😌. There's a cat on the sofa and shaggy collie on the rug near the heating grate. All is bathed in a soft glow from the lamp by the woman's arm, and the overhead pink glass ceiling fixture. And the music goes on, crackling from static but still clear.
the vibes of this video make me feel like if i was living in new york in the 60´s and after long hours of work i have tto stop in a coffe shop to find peace and think about my life. saludos desde la matanza, Argentina.
Credit for the beautiful painting: It's "Nighthawks" by Edward Hopper (1882-1967), painted in 1942, and on view at the Art Institute of Chicago. This image has been altered from the original to add many wrinkles to the clothes. And Nemo, your animation of this "enhanced" detail of his work of art is in itself a work of art. I think Mr. Hopper would be proud! Your musical selections are lovely.
Everything feels so perfect. what would make this truly immersive would be the quiet sound of rain going on in the background while the music is playing. Man, that would feel even more relaxing than it already is.
Wonderful video. You capture the very moods and music that are so appealing to someone like me who connects to this type of nostalgia. We think alike :)
I like these Coffee Shop scenes. I never actually frequented Coffee Shops - but - they're always about people who are up at Zero Dark Thirty - and my time being in or working for the military as a civilian - gave me ample experience at that. That and as a young man hanging out with his buddies, drinking beer or coffee 'til all hours of the morning and solving all the worlds problems. There - we'd go over to Denny's at 0200 when the bar closed and have breakfast. .
