Awesome video. I'm currently reading Sandman for the first time and I'm loving it. Original Lucifer is next and then I'm hitting Swamp Thing and Hellblazer. I'm bummed that these are all coming to end save for Hellblazer. The line came at a weird time. I feel if it launched more with the Black Label stuff, it might have stuck around longer. I'm excited to read all of them once their final issues come out. I currently collect Hellblazer and I've been loving it for all the reasons you mentioned. I hope we keep seeing stuff come from the Sandman Universe in the form of more minis and maxis.

Hi. Great Review however, you don't mention "The Sandman Mystery Theatre". Isn't that part of the Sandman universe? I have all 70 Issues of this title which ran through the 90's by Matt Wagner, Steven T. Seagle & Guy Davis. It was a fantastic run starring the Golden Age Sandman. Dream did make a brief appearance in the book so I just assumed it was connected. Also, what disappoints me most about this run though is the fact that it has never been given the Deluxe treatment! No Omnibus, Hardcover, Deluxe Edition or Absolute, only a cpl of Trade Paperbacks! Could you explain all of this please as I'm a little lost. Thanx again.
Ive been inspired by your custom binds so i think i may do my first one pretty soon. I think I’m going to bind the original 60-issue Dreaming series that ran from 1996-2001 i believe. It will probably end up being 2or 3 books. We’ll see.
Thank you for this video Mike. I have been hesitant to read the Sandman Universe after Nail Gaiman’s run. I am worried about the depth of the writing and whether or not it will ruin my imagination of the original sandman. Do you recommend I conquer this fear and read it? lol Also, is there a TP of the Sandman Universe?
Great video. I'm really sad to see these titles go. I've enjoyed all of them. Do we know why they are ending? Hellblazer is such a return to form for John. This is the son of a bitch that we all love. If they must I'd like to see other titles based on characters from Sandman. Thessaly, The Furies, Bast, The Corinthian, etc. There're just so many characters to expand on. These have been some of my favorite comics and I plan to get them custom bound.

Lucifer and Hellblazer were definitely standouts in the line. Books of Magic wasn't bad, but it wasn't great, either. Erasing the previously great run from the continuity means, to me, that we should have been treated to something great. Instead, we got something that was just nice to have. The whole line is nice to have, so I hope to see continuations.
If have 4 Absolute Sandman buy 3 Omnibus i steg for Absolute 5 when include Overture also save money in buy Omnibus 3 book instead beacouse get Overture 🤔

Nope not part of the Classic Neil Gaiman Sandman Universe and also not part of the new one which runs under the Black Label.

I felt like the writer caught the original feel of the Hellblazer series in the 2 parter about the mermaid.

While it's possible that these titles are reaching their intended conclusions, they are likely ending for the same reason most titles end: low sales.
