You could always convert to the Layens hives. I saw Dr Leo do it on another YT channel- I believe it is “off grid with Doug and Stacey”
Seems like it might be worth the work to switch.

I'm enjoying my horizontal hive - I have back issues and horizontal hives make it easier to handle/harvest frames.

I know honeybees make more profits, but they're an invasive species. Is there anything out there to assist native bees?
